Here's one for you... What is the name of the singer who (we think)sang with DeDannan and recorded, Mary's Darlin Soldier, Pretty Polly, Elfin Knight. Mike Harding played a track about a year ago of a guy singing Mary's Darlin' Soldier and I would love to know who he was and if he has any solo recordings. Please help - maybe it wasn't even DeDannan he sang with, but whatever - does this ring any bells?

That would have been Danú rather than De Dannan. The singer was Ciarán Ó Gealbháin. Ciarán left the band a few years back and was replaced by Muireann NicAomhlaoimh. Ciarán is indeed a fine singer (as is Muireann).

I haven't heard of any solo recordings, but don't take my word for it.
