Becca, Mary, and Jacqui, make sure he is following the program. Mick |

Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: Rapparee Date: 26 Oct 07 - 05:02 PM Kendall doing opera...yes...I can see him as the lead in "Die Valkeryie" or "Der Meistersinger" or even "Der Fledermaus" or "The Merry Widow." Dressed as a Mountie in red serge and peaked hat crooning in a canoe in "Rose Marie" or "Naughty Marietta." Or singing "Three Little Maids From School Are We" -- a little Gilbert and Sullivan might not be amiss.... |
Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: Bobert Date: 26 Oct 07 - 07:38 PM Okay, I'll admit that I'd be happy just to have the story tellin' Kendall back... That's fine with me... Ahhhhhh, not that he ain't a great singer, mind you, but the stories are his forte'... And I don't mean thwe short 'uns either but those signiture epics... Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: Big Mick Date: 27 Oct 07 - 10:00 AM Stay on the program, buddy. This is an important, and risky, time. It is on you now to follow the program. We have music to make together, and I am counting on you, praying for you, .... and taking the occasional dram o' whiskey for you. OK, well maybe I am doing that all on my own, but it's the thought that counts. Just makes me happy to know that it is coming along. You are never far from my thoughts. jacqui, Sins, and Becca, be sure to keep him on the straight and narrow. Love to all, Mick |

Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: adventure Date: 27 Oct 07 - 05:56 PM Well...we kind of had this good feeling when at Old Songs this year that things were looking up and sounding better for you. It is so wonderful to hear that good things are happening. Keep on track with your rehab stuff....we're sure Jacqui will keep you on track with the required regiments of therapy. Kendall have we got a story for you about Portsmouth....OH MY what have I done now. Thankfully we have strong women supporting us. Joanne almost had me encarcerated for this one.....and without Scotch and all it was done. We have set down a bit on the singing for a few weeks. Did our last chantey/sea ballard event last weekend for the Clam Fest.....attended by almost 2,000 people this year. Lots of fun. Anyway...worked on the Adventure today in the rain......just getting in and trying to dry out. Glad things are progressing well for you. I can't believe that I read Mary turned 70 this past week. She does amazingly well for her age. Best to Jacqui and you. Doryman and his mate. |
Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: Becca72 Date: 27 Oct 07 - 06:00 PM I'll never forget a dinner at my sister's house about 3-4 years ago. My youngest nephew (then about 6-7 years old), who has fairly bad manners in all respects, reached for something across the table and received a gentle reminder tap on the knuckles with his grandfather's fork. My sisters and I all quickly drew our hands off the table and then looked at each other and started laughing. The funny thing was, I'd never actually gotten the corrective tap as a child so I have no idea why I reacted to it. :-) |

Subject: RE: The latest on Kendall's voice From: Lanfranc Date: 30 Oct 07 - 11:50 PM Hi Cap'n Had a thought - why not incorporate those odd therapeutic sounds you have to make into a new version of "Suzanna's a Fanciful Man"? Jacqui will probably know it. Good luck, Cap'n - there's always a welcome around here for you with or without voice, but with would be wonderful! Busy learning "Mrs Ravoon" with the help of your tape. Keep up the discipline, Jacqui! Alan |
