Subject: RE: A little vintage Art Thieme From: Art Thieme Date: 16 Dec 09 - 09:45 PM Kendall How nice of you to say those things. All are true of you as well. Some might say it's strange, (but I don't think so), that, when finding things we like in the work of others, we are sometimes, at least, looking into what we feel are our own best traits. Where you, good sir, are concerned, except for some kind of Yank accent, are up there with the very best. So, yes, you and I (and others of our ilk) are certainly doing it right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're the best! ---- So work on your grammar. If you do, that Grammy thing will fall right into yours and Dan's hands. And I will, with vicarious pleasure, wallow in the glow of your personal auras! Art P.S. Folks, to actually see Kendall's aura, go to my folk photos at BKLick's site: http://rudegnu.com/art_thieme.html |

Subject: RE: A little vintage Art Thieme From: Art Thieme Date: 17 Dec 09 - 11:12 AM Kendall, I took that in Hartford, Connecticut. We were at the Folk Legacy Folk Festival--a workshop--in a church that was across the street from the Mark Twain home. It may have been in the late 1970s!?--Art |

Subject: RE: A little vintage Art Thieme From: deepdoc1 Date: 23 Apr 10 - 03:03 PM I would like to add my thanks to Art Thieme for his outstanding body of work! I have been passing familiar for years, but am just now getting the collected works together...MC has been a great resource. I have laid waste to Folk-Legacy and Waterbug, and have downloaded the Kicking Mule tracks above/below. I greatly look forward now to my commute and new Thieme music. Being somewhat oc/greedy (depends on who you ask) I would love to get "On the River" and "Live at the Winfield" also. Are these available to purchase or download? I have searched, but may be suffering from search-fatigue. Thanks again to BK Lick (tracks) and Joe Offer, et al (lyrics) and to all the fans of Fine Art who make this site so informative. And Art, I wish you well, sir. Thank you. JimB |
