A site containing a list of Peter Sellers recordings, started off with this statement:

"Sellers recorded many comedy albums and even did a stint on the ukelele for a Steeleye Span song."

Anyone know which song?

No I don't "sham", but I'll tell you, he was a GOOD musician.(as was Spike) I've heard a tape with him playing drums, guitar, uke and piano (not at the same time) and that guy could swing! Sheesh! Just too much talent.

The song is "New York Girls" with ukelele and a few Goon sounds; it appears on the album "Commoners Crown". There is a further take of this with more comedy but isn't released. DrJohn

This is the site Peter Sellers

Rick

I think the one I was talking about (the music collector) is called 'A drop of the hard stuff' Did your record have 'Balham, Gateway To the South' on it?
