Subject: Tech: Mudcat Search Problem? From: Sky Sailor Date: 27 Sep 07 - 03:12 AM The Search facility does not seem to come up with any forum entries newer than July 2005, no matter what the search term is. Is there a reason? Or have I missed something? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Mudcat Search Problem? From: MMario Date: 27 Sep 07 - 08:57 AM the technical explanation is that because of some items from the crash - which haven't been fixed yet - an index cannot be run until they are fixed; because the indexing will prevent them BEING fixed. So an index hasn't been run since the crash. Without the index the search can't search the newer material. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Mudcat Search Problem? From: catspaw49 Date: 27 Sep 07 - 09:25 AM Hmmmm...... Tell ya' Mario, that was pretty good snd all but maybe it can be summed up in simpler terms like "The shit be fucked up man." BTW, I have been forced to spend a lot of time in Zanesville lately and I always think of you.....LOL. AND......although I had never really noticed it before, it IS a terrible place to get around in if you're not familiar with it or at times even if you are! The signage is awful. Still, I hate to tell anyone that as your story, now embellished over the years is soooo much better(:<)) Spaw |
