No they are in Boston. Missed a bus or got reservationed out. Anyway they are in Boston and expect to be on the 9PM bus which gets in here about 11:30. So the perfect hostess is attempting to stay awake but----ZZZZZZZZZ. No I do not snore!

They're on a BUS??? Holy dogcrap Batman........They'll smell like those chemical toilets, cheap cigars, diesel fuel, and three day old dog piss! Have a shower at the ready or better yet get the hose. Or stop and run them thru a car wash..............geeziz......buses..............Makes me shudder just to think of it.

You will definitely have to address these olfactory issues before moving on with "Music from Big Pink" or whatever ta' hell you're calling this weekend.

Ya' know I was gonna' post how much I'll be missing and how much fun it all sounded but after this I'm happy to be here in The Buckeye State a thousand miles away AND upwind of you!

Just spoke to Micca, Jude, Mary and Tami. Sins said they have absolutely hideous champagne glasses with cheap champagne to boot, but they all sounded deliriously happy regardless. Frankly, I am a bit concerned for their sanity, but...that's nothing new!**bg**

Micca and Jude have ended any love affair either of them might have had with the city of Boston...:-)

The calm before the storm. I am up and showered and awaiting some coffee. I hope they stay in bed for a while so I can wake up. Jude is wonderful - even Lizzie came to greet her. And Micca looks great - all smiles and stories. He forgot that he had called me on Moday night from Tinker's so for a few minutes he thought I was mind reading.
"Mary? Have you ever heard of a catalog called (I interrupt) Oriental Trading. Horrible tack!' He stares at me and adds "They have this hideous (I interrupt) life size stick on the wall Nativity scene with all Irish people..." Stunned silence then "Honest Micca - we talked on Monday"
He is very tired.

I will let Tami tell you how she found them at the wrong bus terminal.

That lobster should be a lovely shade of green by now Spaw - aged to perfection. I wouldn't share it with the family Spaw. Keep it all to yourself.

Severn has a battery pack tucked up behind his right ear. Takes a Phillips screwdriver and some nerve. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it...

I didn't realize I had the same model head as Phillip, whoever he is (certainly NOT a Phillip with regular!), and that getting into my screwed up head required a specialized tool. However, I'm sure the contents, "mal" and "dis" included, could surpass any flea market or thrift store SINSULL, Jacqui and Truebrit have ever imagined in their WILDEST dreams, a Panderer's Box maybe better left unopened...

They smelled fine. Fed them, gave them some drink (actually Micca provided the champagne), whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed.
Jude was up early but is a non-morning person like me so she quietly sipped her coffee until we both entered the state of civility.
Lizzie really likes her and she never gave the little white kitty any treats. Very strange.

It smells of Catholics!!!v Grim unwelcoming dour folks and an atmosphere you could cut.
My Train was 37 minutes late arriving at South Station, and we couldnt get on the bus (we wanted which we had sensibly allowed an hour gap to manage the transfer) and couldnt get on the one after either, we finally got seats on the 7 pm and got to Portland at 9,Spaw, I am reliably informed the bus is Cleaner faster and cheaper than the train) but got off at the Greyhound bus station, to find none of the phones worked!!! so I had to try and remember where I had hidden my cell phone so we could call Mary, of course we didnt know that Portland ME had TWO bloody bus stations!! and Tami was searching the other one!! I dont think I could do Justice to Tami's description of her search for us so I will leave that for her, suffice tro say we finally got here to Lasagne and fizzy wine as detailed by Sins!!, Now we are up and about and contemplating Bacon Butties and (heaven) French Vanila Coffee at TJ Hookers around the corner!!! Yay, I'm BACK!!!!
PS Morticia, I remembered and the plan is a foot possibly next Wednesday.

It was easy, I walk into the (proper) bus station, see no signs of Micca or Alba and walk up to the counter.

Me: "Excuse me, but has anyone seen a gnome and a Scottish woman?"
Man behind counter (looking at me strangely): "Um, no..."
Bus driver: "Did she have a guitar?"
Me: "Probably"
Bus driver: "They got off at the Greyhound station."

The Greyhound station is in a very sketchy part of town, and not that far from the nice bus station. Personally, I think Micca's first clue should have been the fact that the place was locked up tight.

Micca has come and gone from Maine. He is now safely tucked away in Linn and Tom's dug out bedroom. I may de-pink his room while he is away.
He will be back on Tuesday and then off to see the lovely Allison. Then back to South Portland for a few nights, a dinner at Trubrit's, hopefully one quiet night with me, maybe another Press Room gather, and then home to old Blighty (whatever that means). So for those intent on his adventure, stay tuned.

Enjoying the peace and tranquility of the woods of New Hampshire with wood fires in a genuine cast iron stove a small Ginger moggie that is the Nosiest cat EVER and should have been named Parker .,The company is perfect and my hosts are friends of long standing and a visit from Jeri last night The peace here is tangible, Autuumal colours and most trees fashionably bare clear starlt nights and friends what more could one ask?

He is with Linn and Tom - a very raucous bunch including Jeri last night. Tonight dinner at the Acorn then back to Maine and a rainy day in Tami's park. He will be in your arms on Thursday, Allison. Leave some for us! Tami is in charge of him. Then back to Maine . Dinner on Thursday with TruBrit - anyone see a pattern here? This is as bad as Kendall and his groupies.
Friday - I am not sure.
Saturday - the Shanty Sing.
Sunday - head for home unless we can convince him to stay.
Of course this changes hourly so feel free to update.

Sins, I think you have got it essentially right, I am very much enjoying the quiet time in the rainy woods of New Hampshire and the company of friends , if you heard what sounded like a raucous after dinner party, well I think it must have been something on TV, as we were having a very quiet after dinner chat about the mystical significance of certain songs, such as Baa Baa Black sheep and the hidden messagees in "Whup, Jamboree"" and anyone at says there was drink taken is mistaken!!!
