I've got this vision of you stalking Elbow Jane around the food tent Muppitz!!!

Re Sounds of Folk, Una and Tony, I think Bernard puts info on here occasionally. It's available on the web, I do know that, but not sure where!!! I'll ask him!

Hi Ali,
We wish you all the best with the festival and see you in January. If we are not busy we will try to make it.

Forgive us if this is a silly question or is somewhere else on mudcat but how about putting a link to your radio shows here and the details.

Thanks

Una and Tony

Ooooh, hopefully Glen won't work me too hard this year, there's a fair few of them I want to see, but most especially the lovely lads of Elbow Jane, I spent Fylde weekend stalking them as I had no food tent to work in, ended up selling CD's for them when someone thought I was part of the entourage!!!
Chris & Julie, Nancy & James and AJ are all on the list too!

Looking forward to it, glad you've been able to maintain your input Ali!

Yes I have seen Mawkin Causley Ali. I saw them at Derby Trad Festival the other week. I am very very impressed with them. I would love to get them to Faldingworth, and the same applies to Kerfuffle.

Thanks all of you. it will be lovely to be able to meet, greet, chat and drink without any of the hassle of organising!!

Have you sen Mawkin Causley, Villan? Their demo CD is great, which is why I booked them, but I've not seen them perform. We're making a huge effort to get more young people involved this year.

Ali

Sadly this does not fall in the school holidays so it is unlikely that I'll be able to summon up enough energy for the trek.

Make sure that Bill and Dave get a loooooong set!

To all those people who didn't want me to leave the festival - I'm not doing! I'm staying as Festival Director - but not doing any of the jobs except running the desk over the weekend!!! So I get the best of both worlds, which is great!

The guest list is looking good too - Chris While and Julie Matthews, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher, Mary Humphreys and Anahata, Flossie, Stanley Accrington, Anthony John Clarke, Hissyfit, John Prentice, the Shellbacks and Roy Clinging and Neil Brookes. Plus loads of young performers this time - Mawkin Causley, Kerfuffle, Elbow Jane, 4Square, and Roots Alive.

And we've got the Wars of the Roses rematch - hopefully Yorkshire will win it this year - although I'm comletely unbiased of course!!

So see you all there, on July 18th to 20th = with excellent weather as usual!!

Love, Ali
