I know Roger Rowe - he used to live with my ex-wife (before she was my wife at all, in case you're interested!) He is indeed into tall ships - he's a watchleaderwith the STA and has sailed several times in the Stavros Niarchos & Prince William. I might ask him anyway.....

Notice the absence of the word 'to' in that sentence....

Ladies and gentlemen of the Mudcat Cafe,

I am proposing to go yacht sailing in the not very warm waters of England's south coast in a few weeks' time and have some spaces in the crew. Wed 13 - Sun 17 Feb, based Hamble. About £150 per head. Itinerary depending on the weather.
