Regarding the twit, I believe it's the 'enough rope' strategy.
I do wish Obama would get more coverage, but the 'news' media is in it for the sensationalism, not for the reporting.

Last night I started hearing several news reporters saying the SNL skit kind of 'woke up' the news media with the line from the Hillary character - that if they couldn't grow a pair, she would loan them hers. I think you will see an attempt to turn the focus back to issues.

I was watching an interview with Michelle Obama and she says he is still is wearing the same trousers he had since they were married. She suggested he should go and purchase a new pair.

From the Denver Post:

Obama made a number of references to the importance of protecting water and pursuing renewable energy.

"If you want renewable energy and new green jobs right here in Colorado, if you want a president who will protect our environment and make sure that water is still falling in the places that need it here in Colorado, . . . then I ask you to start knocking on doors," he said.

That impressed many attendees.

"He went to some local issues like water," said retired environmental scientist Frank Nemanich. "I think it's really great to see someone come to western Colorado and do that."

HE's standing up to slurs and distortions from mcCain's camp and calling them for what they are. That is good.

He's stumping and has just won the endorsement of the National Organization of Women, a major coup; the top brass of NOW commented this morning on NPR that Palin is not representative of NOW's ideals, while Obama's track record is clear in supporting women's issues.

I respectfully beg to differ. There are a great number of sheep in the USA, and those belonging to the ovine group are all proudly, blindly, indeed pompously preparing to vote the Republicans back into power. And then the rest of the world can watch as they, once again, are sc$*@ed.
