Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: Azizi Date: 31 Oct 08 - 08:34 AM Well, we could have taught youth gangs living in the Victorian age about music if we were alive back then. As it is, we've probably learned a good bit of our music from them. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: Azizi Date: 31 Oct 08 - 08:40 AM Guess what folks. I got it wrong. Andy Davis hasn't joined Mudcat. But Andy Davies has. Let's welcome andydavies. We can also search out someone name Andy Davis, and maybe he'll join our community too. The more, the merrier {sometimes anyway}. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: catspaw49 Date: 31 Oct 08 - 08:42 AM Okay Ziz....I'm confused. I mean welcome and all to Andy, but why do you say Mudcat is growling? A Mudcat is a fish and fish don't growl. If you mean Mudcat as in the people who post here, a few of them do growl but generally its their stomachs you hear. Try to be more clear next time huh? Again.....Welcome Andy! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: artbrooks Date: 31 Oct 08 - 09:57 AM And some of us Mudcatters are also growing...in various directions. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: EBarnacle Date: 31 Oct 08 - 11:29 AM Actually, Spaw, I believe there are some fish who make noises. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: Bill D Date: 31 Oct 08 - 12:10 PM The 'woodchuck chile' from Pogo used to call fish by softly hummming "grrrrsss" into the water. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: gnu Date: 31 Oct 08 - 01:22 PM Yo Andy! If a fish farts in an empty pond, does it make bubbles? |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: Art Thieme Date: 31 Oct 08 - 02:51 PM Andy, It's good to have you here. Welcome! Be sure to bring a sense of humor (and a thick skin) with you when you arive. If ya don't have a sense of humor, it iusn't funny, the stuff that goes down here. Well, sometimes it is funny. So be it... Art Thieme |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: Richard Bridge Date: 31 Oct 08 - 03:35 PM Is the Mudcat glowing? Someone must have pushed the big red button a little early... |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: JohnInKansas Date: 31 Oct 08 - 07:21 PM A Mudcat is a fish and fish don't growl. Shame upon the author of this canard, and penance and penalties upon him as well. Fish, and most notably catfish do growl, burp, belch, hum, sing and make great bunches of noises. Quite obviously, those who've never been truly "face to face" with a big 'un may not have heard much from them; but as fish go, catfish are rather noisy. I suspect Spaw has been eating too many carp. The only notable noise they make is sort of a "suck" - hence the technical name "middlemanagerfish." John |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: GUEST,Tony Burrows Date: 31 Oct 08 - 07:39 PM Welcome Andy, Please remember, if you vote republican please don't admit it, never make a comment about a fat person, and be aware of the little inner circle that works here, (they are like Masons) they cry like kids to have your comments removed if you express an opinion which is different to theirs. Remember these rules and you will be okay, oh please never accept an offer of a free homemade cd from a member, all can be hard to listen to, believe me. You will most likely require treatment if you do. Welcome Ton. |
Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat is growing! From: catspaw49 Date: 31 Oct 08 - 07:46 PM Ya' know John, I almost checked on that before I wrote it because I had some vague recollection, but to tell the truth, I didn't know for sure and could have given a crap less!!!(:<)) When I go for a stupidass joke I never really care. But come to think of it, I have had some catfish growl at me but that was after pan frying and ingestion in mass quantities. Now in that case I know it may be my gastric problem but I prefer to blame the fish. I've also had long coversations with cabbage............. Spaw |
