Subject: RE: BS: Gin Sales Are Up From: SINSULL Date: 09 Nov 08 - 10:32 AM As I understand it, the election of Barack Obama has created panic buying of gin as one of his election promises was to ban gin-drinking while shooting gins and eventually ban gin. It's a fact. I read it on the internet right here. |

Subject: RE: BS: Gin Sales Are Up From: Ed T Date: 10 Nov 08 - 12:04 PM I overheard a conversation the other day, two stock market fellows were talking, that there could possibly be a world-wide supply problem with juniper berries. And, it could result in higher prices/reduced supplies of Gin. The speculation is, it could result in Gin hording. Or, was it really a gin influenced dream I had? Anyway, one could always revert back to the "somewhat repulsive", but just as intoxicating, Juniper-free Geneva Gin. http://www.tasteoftx.com/spirits/gin.html |

A Drink With Something In It There is something about a Martini, A tingle remarkably pleasant; A yellow, a mellow Martini; I wish I had one at present. There is something about a Martini, Ere the dining and dancing begin, And to tell you the truth, It is not the vermouth-- I think that perhaps it's the gin. Ogden Nash |
