Subject: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: Will Fly Date: 09 Jan 09 - 12:45 PM Seeing the birthday wishes on today's Mudcat, I wondered who I might share my birthday with. So, by taking a look at Famous Birthdays, I discovered that I could also raise a toast on my birthday to (among others): River Phoenix, Keith Moon, Vera Miles and Gene Kelly. |

Subject: RE: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: PoppaGator Date: 09 Jan 09 - 01:06 PM Mine is Nov 8. For many years, I thought I shared a birthday with the great Katherinie Hepburn, but in more recent years I learned that she had given out out my birthdate as the wrong date for her birthday, in an effort to keep her real DOB secret ~ ?????! That's OK ~ I still have Bonnie Raitt, among others, with whom to share my birthday. Bonnie's exactly two years younger than I am. Always was, always will be. Another semi-famous person born on 11/8 is former New York Met Ed Kranepool. Famous enough for me, but not for the website Will references above. Ed is also close to my age, but in his case, he's a little older (2 or 3 years). Krane was not quite an "original" Met, because he was still in high school in the Bronx on Opening Day in 1962. However, he was drafted in midsummer and made the major league roster later in that inaugural season of the New York Metropolitan Baseball Club. He went on to enjoy a long and good-but-not-great career with his one and only big league team, right there in his hometown. |

Subject: RE: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 09 Jan 09 - 09:07 PM I was born on the same date as several well known people, but I wouldn't exactly call it "sharing". In fact, none of them have ever even invited me to their birthday parties. Screw 'em! If they can't share their birthdays with me, I'll be damned if I'm gonna share mine with them! |

Subject: RE: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: PoppaGator Date: 10 Jan 09 - 10:51 AM Rapaire: too long a list! Not that many individuals can really be "famous," can they? I certainly never heard of most of 'em. Well, some of them might have been famous back during their own centuries, I suppose... Long as that list is, it's missing an entry from my birth year (1947). One of the few 20th-century years not to have a notable 2/11 birthday person. I realize that you're a librarian, but I still am dumbfounded that you were able to manage such extensive research on such an obscure topic |

Subject: RE: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: *daylia* Date: 10 Jan 09 - 11:15 AM Click here for an extensive list of the (in)famous who share your bday I recognized only four o fhte dozens of names given -- Harry Houdini, David Suzuki, Steve McQueen and Patti Labelle would make for an interesting dinner party! I could play piano while Patti wails on. Stevie could sit front and center turning heads. And Harry could just vanish into thin air, giving David an opportunity to demonstrate, scientifically, how he did it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Sharing birthdays with the famous From: Jack Campin Date: 10 Jan 09 - 08:05 PM My birthday is the anniversary of Nero burning Rome, the declaration of the doctrine of papal infallibility and the publication of Mein Kampf. And I have the same birthday as Vidkun Quisling and Hunter S. Thompson. Not surprising I turned out so nice, is it? |
