Hi--You might have better success if you went to:

http://www.dejanews.com and searched for BLUEGRASS POSTS

and signed on to the BLUEGRASS NET hosted by FRANK GODBY at the Univ. of Ky.

many well-known bluegrass/country musicians hang out there.

I've never heard of fiddle TAB. (which doesn't mean it doesn't exist) Your best bet might be searching on mandolin TAB, there's a lot of it out there. (And I got lots of results on a Google search for "mandolin tab wildwood flower".)

Obviously, you won't get advice on bowing that way, just the left hand. Also, with mandolin, arrangements tend to be more notey -- since there's no sustain, extra ornamentation is used to fill in. The first result on my Google search gives a pretty basic version, though: clicky.

Using a good acrylic paint, put pretend-frets on your Stradivarius. Voila, you're set to go.

There are those who would say that notation is a form of fiddle tab. Untold millions have learned it. So could you.
