Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: My guru always said Date: 21 May 09 - 09:02 AM All sounds fabulous if rather technical! If we're able to come along I'll try to do some brownies & possibly fresh ciabatta. Just a thought, is next door's 'camping field' vaguely suitable for small caravan? Either way, I promise not to bring our foxes or their cubs but they seemed quite keen at the mention of chicken.... |

Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Richard Bridge Date: 21 May 09 - 06:52 AM If you have already glued the woks together, how do you get anything into the space in the middle? I have basil and parsley growing on my kitchen windowsill, but you are not getting any of the roots of my daturas (actually mine are tree brugmansiae). Many a shaman has stayed away after the use of datura root... |

All 'catters welcome - and if any remember Jacqui from the days of Phoebus Wakes, or her semi-pro band the Chap-men, all back in the 60s (or indeed her CND marches) they are welcome too whether I have yet met them or not. |

Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Pierre Le Chapeau Date: 20 May 09 - 02:43 AM Hi Folks I will be accompanying Essex Girl on Sunday. Re getting there. I do not mind where I sleep or what I sleep in or on. I shall dress accordingly to sleep out at night and I will bring a sleeping bag. If I bring those incenses my friend brought back from india they should send those pesky mozzies packing. There again if someone is driving back past a station Rochester or Strood before 2100 Hrs I could sleep in me own bed. I really do not mind. Key Limes ? They must open the culinary door to a good tart. Bye the bye is it from eating Key Limes where we got the name Limeys from our friends across the pond. Something to do with skervi and having a good suck on a Lime? |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: VirginiaTam Date: 19 May 09 - 01:31 PM Key limes are from the from the Florida Keys picked green and are ripe when they turn yellow more tart/bitter than other limes. Key lime pie is gorgeous. Don't know what I will make yet. Something edible. We can bring 2 twisty chairs too. Don't know about instruments. I just injured my left thumb. Got cuaght in downstairs door handle as the wind caught the door. Yanked backwards. Currently icing it. |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Richard Bridge Date: 19 May 09 - 01:05 PM Linda, I am told you have Val's spare bedroom. Val has also bought Gattox (with luck not too tox) and cheesecakes. I will be investing in lethal cheese (and if you know my tastes you can rely on that) on Saturday. |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: melodeonboy Date: 19 May 09 - 11:30 AM "and maybe a key lime pie?" That sounds a bit crunchy! Or does the word key refer to the essential nature of the dish? |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: billybob Date: 19 May 09 - 09:45 AM I can bring a cheesecake and maybe a key lime pie? |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: GUEST,Essex Girl Date: 19 May 09 - 08:27 AM I'll bring a crumble - apple or Rhubarb or maybe both! |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: GUEST,Essex Girl Date: 19 May 09 - 08:24 AM Can I claim the put-u-up,(I promise I won't throw up) or shall I bring a tent? |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Richard Bridge Date: 19 May 09 - 08:24 AM Mosquito repellent, throat charmer other than beer if required, you may wish to bring a shooting stick or folding chair or two although between Val and me and her next door neighbours I think we probably have about 30 garden chairs at least. I'm not sure what plot Val and Linda have hatched about puddings, men of course eat meat with chili sauce (and maybe jacket potatoes) and that's that. Come to think of it, depending on the meat and the skill of the barbecuers, SHARP knife and forks could be useful although seriously I have many just down the road in my house. Val, what is the plot about plates and napkins? Burnables? Are they in stock? I might have 20 or 30 in a cupboard somewhere... |
Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: billybob Date: 19 May 09 - 08:08 AM Val, thanks for the CD, brilliant! We are coming on Sunday so will bring the DVD of Billy's 50th with me. Bringing something to incinerate on the barby, what else do we need to bring? Wendy x |

Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Pierre Le Chapeau Date: 19 May 09 - 04:00 AM My tent is huge so if pat and deb want the sofa bed and they bring there tent I,ll sleep in that mozzies do not care for me if not can I claim the sofa bed if its ok to stay? |

Subject: RE: ReWake: Slats, Jacqui and Dave Bryant From: Richard Bridge Date: 18 May 09 - 11:33 AM I can accommodate you Pat & Debs, but we may have to walk the mile from Val's house - and if Rachel and Sam are staying over you will only have the put-you down (technically a double) in what used to be Rachel's sitting room but is now my library - long enough for you Debs but a little short for Pat! I have now got a further foam mattress for it so you don't fall through the gaps any more. |
