Subject: BS: Caravan plumbing - non return From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 May 09 - 05:53 PM Right, JB has a knackered non-return valve, and I assume he is on "snap-on" piping (the blue plastic stuff, 11mm O/D I think) and I have a non-return valve that despite replacement does not work - same piping. But I have an old-fashioned 10mm non-return valve that works just fine. Does anyone know where I can get a joint to enable me (and john likewise if he can re-establish piping connections) to put such a non-return valve into modern piping, or get an inline non-return valve to fit the modern piping? |

My Carver Cascade 2 has blue pipes for the cold water inlet, which as you know is buggg**ed, and red pipes for the subsequent hot water (or not in my case) outlet, both of which are gently attached by the usual 'jubilee clips'. Subject: RE: BS: Caravan plumbing - non return From: Richard Bridge Date: 27 May 09 - 06:29 PM Yes, it's the blue pipe needs the extra non-return valve - once you have got the inlet sorted. You were trying to get the inlet out to do the non-return valve, as I recall... The blue pipes have the snap on fittings. You just seem to have rediscovered the wrong way to snap them off! |
