It's nice to be home. I went for a walk on the beach with Seamus this morning, we spent an hour just walking and that really does lift the spirits immensely.

Now I've got to get unpacked and packed again for a weekend away, in Machias and then up to New Brunswick.

Life do get busy sometimes!

A city bus stopped and a rather large lady tried to get on but she was so fat her legs lacked the strenght to lift her. Just got back from Herga folk club, having been ferried there and back by Leadfingers. A great evening, so many good singers there!

Tomorrow my lovely son takes me to the airport and Virgin Airlines will take me back to Boston. By this time tomorrow evening I would hope to be through immigration and customs and waiting for the coach to take me back home to my Sweetie.

I love my travels, and seeing my family, but it's good to get back home.

Just back from NYC the heat capitol of the world. 9 hours down - a nightmare trip through Massachusetts with peo[ple running out of gas in the crush. Only 6 1/2 hours back. Home to find my gate fixed and my cats annoyed.

Happy Birthday, you old bat! I saw endless pieces of crap in the Bog Apple but it was too damn hot and sticky to even stop and look.
A belated treasure will be yours, not to worry.

I do have about 35,000 tiny bottle of shampoo, cram rinse, body wash, lotions, etc. Don't ask.

I also have a three litre bottle of red wine aged to perfection except I think it was standing up. It leaked in my car. Anyone for some nice red vinegar?

Spaw, go stand in the corner until Karen says you can come out.

Spaw - I'm sitting here laughing like a drain, luckily none of my extended family is in the room with me 'cause I'm not sure they would really get the humour, particularly He Who Walks On Water, AKA the Grandson, aged 8. I'm wondering if you're giving the Cap'n ideas here - now THERE'S a picture that will send Becca72 into five more years of therapy, at least.

Gnu - I know it's artery clogging, which is why it's a very occasional treat. I'll be back to eating relatively sensibly when I get back to Maine, but I'm on me 'olidays right now so have cut loose a bit.

I'm travelling back to Shepperton today, by way of Southampton, where I lose the car to my friends who use it when I'm in Maine, and spend the rest of the trip with my son and granddaughter, who also Walks On Water!

Thank you all. I've had a lovely day, albeit that it would have been more perfect if the Cap'n had been here.

I got a lovely card from my beloved, (very romantic) and got totally spoiled by my daughter and family. Went paddling on Bournemouth beach with the grandson (He Who Walks On Water, but didn't today as there were too many people around) and had a cartoon done of Lewis and me, courtesy of my daughter.

KFC for dinner, with toffee icecream to follow, washed down with a nice Chardonnay.

Back to my son in Shepperton tomorrow, hopefully going to Herga on Monday night and then home to Maine on Tuesday.
