Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: Bat Goddess Date: 01 Dec 09 - 10:52 AM Best of everything tomorrow, Kendall -- we warned Sonny and Dr. Z that you're coming. You'll be in good hands. Linn |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: Jeri Date: 01 Dec 09 - 10:57 AM Too bad. They've moved the llamas to a secure location. Best wishes from me, Kendall. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: kendall Date: 01 Dec 09 - 02:10 PM I woke up this morning with a very painful lump on my windpipe. I knew that the squamous cell carcinoma had suddenly become a blastoma. Went to my local ENT and he thinks it's an infection. I hope he's right. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: maeve Date: 01 Dec 09 - 02:18 PM Kendall, I've always thought you have an infectious grin. Apply it and conjugate some jokes while you wait for your appointment tomorrow. maeve |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: VirginiaTam Date: 01 Dec 09 - 02:33 PM Get your Kendall Candles here. Real cheap. Many uses too. Not just for keeping good thoughts and positive energy flowing towards those in need. F ull of entertainment factor especially when held within reasonable proximity to Mr. Spaw's posterior. Guess what he's had for dinner from the changes in flame color. Hours of amusement. Do I get sent to the CELLAR now? Best wishes tomorrow, Kendall. May the doctor's thoughts and hands be guided by all that is good and healing. p.s. sorry to use old Spaw for the jollies above. But he seemed the most likely candidate and I am sure he is up for the sacrifice on the alter of comedy in the interest of a cherished friend. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: SINSULL Date: 01 Dec 09 - 04:50 PM Infection???? Doesn't that woman ever clean that house? Colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, SHEEESH! CELLAR???? Please...I am very afraid. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: Ebbie Date: 01 Dec 09 - 05:12 PM if you promise to be good - or at least better - in future, Sins, this may be the year that Jacqui installs electric lights down there. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: VirginiaTam Date: 01 Dec 09 - 05:29 PM Mary... Are you OK? Any infection he may have picked up did not very likely come from the home environment. Them germs is his own. It's the alien ones that come from shopping carts, that new box of cheerios just pawed by the snuffling stock associate, the money out of the ATM. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: kendall Date: 01 Dec 09 - 08:00 PM And from cats that are allowed to track litter box germs all over the table and counters. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: catspaw49 Date: 01 Dec 09 - 08:20 PM The problem isn't as much with the litter as it is in getting the proper mix in the tracking of litter, dander, cat hair, and kitty barf, so as to negate the germs who refuse to live in that kind of gawdawful combination! At least it works for us...................possibly............ And V-Tam......Don't apologize! You got a great idea there! Keep them coming anytime. Is there some way we can work that candle test (very much like a freon detector)in with all the gawdamn leftover Anne Frank drum kits? Do good tomorrow Kendall...........I ain't shittin' about that. I told Tom I expected to hear good reports and he gave them. YOU.....Do the same! Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: TRUBRIT Date: 01 Dec 09 - 08:30 PM Good thoughts keep coming from us....... |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: curmudgeon Date: 01 Dec 09 - 08:32 PM Kendall, I had occasion to call Dr. Z's office today. and Kim assured me that you would be looked after and well cared for. BUT, you have to lighten up and be ready with some suitable quips, comments and stories of yours so as to live up to the reputation we've bestowed upon you. Be well and of good cheer; you WILL feel better once you've met with Dr. Zietels! Tom & Linn |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: ClaireBear Date: 02 Dec 09 - 01:18 AM The best of everything tomorrow, Kendall. Tell those doctors to take damned good care of you, or I'll put on my bear suit (note the spelling) and come after them. It has long claws -- sharp, too. Night! Claire |

Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: jacqui.c Date: 02 Dec 09 - 10:01 PM We just got back from Boston at 9.15. We had a good meeting with Dr Zeitels and his staff - Kendall will be going in for a procedure to remove the cancer on January 14th and then Dr Zeitels will be looking to make sure that the cancer is contained and that Kendall's cords are in the best possible shape for work to give him more voice. Dr Zeitels said that Kendall is a suitable candidate, once his cords are stabilised, for the new procedure that is going to be started within the next two years - the materiel for this is now in production and, because they do not intend to market the materiel, but simply to use it themselves, FDA approval should only take a matter of 30 days. While we were waiting for a voice assessment session Kendall developed a red blotchy rash on his hands, face and torso. He was very hot and had blurred vision. I thought that it might be an allergic reaction to one of the sprays that were used before the tube was put into his nostril and called for some help. We ended up with a roomful of firemen and paramedics and Kendall was carted off in an ambulance to the emergency room at Mass General. By this time Kendall was in real pain from the itching and was put onto an IV with all sorts of stuff to try and reduce the reaction. Luckily the rash subsided and he was sprung from the hospital at about 6.50, just in time to make a mad dash for the 7.15 coach. We have instructions for what to do if the rash comes back and we have an appointment with his doctor tomorrow morning to start an investigation as to what he reacted to. Right now, it's time to just relax and get some sleep. |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: TRUBRIT Date: 02 Dec 09 - 10:24 PM Sounds like good news......KENDALL, DON'T SCRATCH!!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: katlaughing Date: 02 Dec 09 - 10:49 PM SO glad you are home and the news sounds good! If his feet are too itchy, put some ice bags on them...it works! Thanks for taking the time to let us know how it went. I hope you both get lost of deep rest, tonight. luvyabucketskat |
Subject: RE: BS: Another biopsy From: catspaw49 Date: 02 Dec 09 - 11:12 PM The news sounds good to me! At first reading, the rash had some of the signs of Shingles. Truthfully Kendall, if you haven't had a Shingles shot, you need one. For those over 60 the odds and consequences and pain of Shingles go up. Shingles info from the Mayo Clinic. I am truly happy and as you know, this whole damn place will be with you in January too!!! The wedding rings are a long story, but its going to be a Christmas surprise to my best friend that I married in '86. Spaw |
