OK, so I guess I thought I was special, or that it was just those brit Folk Fanatics, but I received my first abusive PM a few minutes ago. Suffice it to say I found it disturbing to the point that I have loaded the double barrel with deer shot and am trembling in my brogan shoes. This particular %#* f&#ker has had it in for me for years, and I am sick of it! I will observe the rules of not disclosing PMs, but I would like to paraphrase what he said, using italics where the language is too vile to repeat

"YO!!! Blondie!!!

Ya' know......I ain't got one of them bullying PM's either and I don't recall ever sending one, but from what I read anymore I gather they are a way of life. So on that basis I thought maybe this could be one for you so as you'd feel better about being a part of things.

And the PM doesn't even have to be from a gutter-dweller.   Nobody ever has to open a PM--from anybody.   So if you don't want to--for any reason---say the weather's too good to want to waste time on a PM "conversation"--or absolutely any reason whatsoever--just don't open it.   Works like a charm.

If you're asking computer advice --or advice of any kind- from somebody, then sure. But then you initiated it so obviously you want to hear what the person has to say.

But then of course I slightly suspect that LEJ is having us on.   Nah, couldn't be. He wouldn't do anything like that.

Now we are engaged in a great pissing contest, testing whether this website, or any website so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great thread of that war. We have come to piss away a portion of our lives in a ridiculously futile quest for a final resting place for those who previously pissed away their lives that some little known and boring ass songs might continue to live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. Why though, I have no idea.

But, in a larger sense, you can not dedicate -- you can not consecrate -- you can not hallow -- this website. We brave folks, living and dead, who posted here, have fucked it up far above your poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, and most would like to forget what they did here.....especially when Lonesome EJ had sex with that aardvark. It is for us rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which we who posted here for many years have thus far so completely screwed up.
