Duke has been there too often.

I rooted for Butler- don't know why, since I went to Illinois of the Big Ten. Again, like to see the honors passed around.

A Butler - W. Va final would confound the pickers.

Huggins showed himself off to be a class act yesterday. The way he held Da'Sean Butler when D's knee gave out had real heart. Let's hope Butler (the college, not the player this time) teaches Duke a lesson Monday night.

I had been watching WV pretty closely since they knocked my school out of the Big East tourney. I'm very impressed by Da'Sean Butler and his historic accomplishment of joining Hot Rod Huntley and Jerry West as the only Mountaineers to score 2000 points in a career. Also, of course, I've respected Coach Huggins all through his career.

I was rooting for them Saturday, but was not too surprised at Duke's performance. I'm not a Duke-hater, but I haven't been rooting for them recently. A few years ago, when a kid from my high school was one of their star players, I spent a few years as a temporary Duke fan.

I'll be glad to see Butler prevail tonight, like pretty much everyone else in the world who's not a Duke alum. But I won't lose any sleep if Coach K and his kids claim another title. They really do have an excellent program and don't deserve the kind of knee-jerk hatred that they seem to inspire simply by doing so well on such a consistent basis.
