BS: Hostel in/near Drumfries town, Scotland?

Hi,
as I am planning this year's bicycle trip in Scotland, I am looking for a youth hostel or independent hostel in the vicinity of Moffat or Dumfries (town), Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

So far my search has come up empty ...

Maybe one of you knows hostels in that area (as I am coming from Melrose, between Moffat and Dumfries would be best)...

Many years ago when I hitchhiked that route, I went from Melrose SYHA to Carlisle YHA then back to Dumfriesshire. My next stop was Gatehouse-of-Fleet SYHA which is long gone. I don't think there were any other hostels until you got to Stranraer.

Hostels seem to be a bit scarce round that area Andy. If you look at www.hostel-scotland.co.uk there are a couple west of Dumfries, or you could search the 'net for local Tourist Information Centres.

Seayaker, thanks for that link - somehow I missed that in my google searches ...

The Marthrown hostel looks like a possible place.
