Now having a cold one at a bar, is better than being barred or being behind bars .. or being stuck in a barren land ... or fishing in the baring (I know I took liberties with the spelling) sea ... LOL

It is much better than being bare foot in winter ... or being eatin by grizzly bar ...

a small Scottish brewery called Brewdog has made a batch of beer    called 'The End of History".. it's alcohol content is 55%.. the really funny thing is that the bottle comes inside a stuffed squirrel.. the mouth of the bottle sticks out of the squirrel's mouth a couple of inches... so I guess you can look each other in the eyes when taking a swig... it sells for $1000 a bottle, and they've sold out all their stock... leave it tae de Scots to think o that lad.

He really did. Took a gallon of water, dissolved a bunch of sugar in it, added yeast. Worked like a charm, didn't taste like much of anything at all.

In the sixties Murdoch was against bars....., usually right up against them. Bruce was the man who took me into the Kettle of Fish for the 1st time, and bought me my first drink there(Ballantine Pale Ale if I remember correctly). I was only 17 at the time. I guess that you could blame him for subsequent events.

I hate to see him eating raw meat:

Hamster and vegetable Risotto

1 hamster (medium sized), 1 onion (chopped), 1 handful of mushrooms (sliced), half a green pepper (chopped), half a cup of rice, 1 chicken stock cube (or vegetable stock cube if preferred), 1 heaped dessert spoon of peanuts (optional), salt, pepper and oil for frying.

First heat water and mix stock cube with one cup of hot water (if you have an electric kettle, do this while frying onion). Fry onion for 5 minutes in oil. Add mushrooms, pepper and rice; stir for 3 minutes. Now add soup mixture, plus half a cup of water if necessary while stirring occasionally (but only bit by bit because you don't want to make everything too watery). There should be no extra liquid when all the rice has been done. Season to taste. Add peanuts if you want some extra crunch. Total preparation time 35 minutes.
