Subject: New Heritage CDs
From: Dennis the Elder

I have recently obtained the CD of Cockersdade, "Picking Sooty Blackberries", and this has wetted my appetite for Keith Marsden songs.
I know Keith was part of "New Heritage" with Brian Senior and believe they made at least one CD (record or tape).
Does any one know if any exist and if so, where it or they can be obtained?

Does anyoneknow how to contact Brian Senior, as I know he must know the answer to my questions?

Brian is I believe a regular at The Grove folk club in Leeds, with Geoff Wood and Ed and Sam etc on hols at mo'

I will ask Jim Potter if he knows of any New Heritage recordings

I do know that there are extensive recordings that were made at The GRove thro 6o/70/80s and would dearly love to hear them!

Brian and Keith formed a group even before New Heritage called "The Seven Hills Folk Group" which is referred to in the "Picking Sooty Blackberries Disc"
Also on that disc there is a track from "All Manner of Things", which is stated to be from New Heritage.
I would love to get my hands on it.

Thanks Ray for your efforts past and future.
I am obviously willing to pay anyone who has a disc for sale.
I would love to go to Whitby, but I don't think I will make it.

Have a good time

Dennis

How did Whitby go Ray, looks as if it has taken you a while to walk back!
Hear you did a lot of comparing at the Conservative Club and a little performing on the side.
Failed to get there this year myself, sounds as if all went well this year, did you meet Max?
Any luck in your efforts regarding the New Heritage recording?

Dennis
