Can someone please tell me, how to identify the location of the daily picture that we get when we log onto 'Bing'.

(I know that it's probably obvious to even a dim-witted 3 year old - but not to me!).

I know that there are secret panels which give you questions/clues, but is there anyway of getting a straight forward label which says just where the fabulous picture was taken?

Having bought a new laptop with Win 7 - Bing was the first time and resource wasting addon to be deleted after a couple of days....

O.K.

I clicked on Images and it brought up a search screen inviting me to search for world wide images.

How does that tell me anything about the image that Bing has put up today as the background picture?

I asked that question on Bing search and got this answer:

To find out where the Bing daily background picture is from, just hover your mouse over the copyright symbol "©" in the bottom right hand corner of the image. Also, you may have noticed that if you hover over the picture you can learn fun facts about the subject of each of the images.

I'm still running XP, but I'd be grateful for details on how I can get shot of Bing.

It takes me everywhere but where I want to go, and redirects two out of every three searches, based on past actions I have taken, some as long ago as five months.

No, I don't habitually use Bing. I still prefer Google.

I only loaded bing cos I was annoyed when Google took away the UK only option on web searching.

IMHO I have to say that Bing seems to do a pretty good job and I would be hard pressed to say that there was much difference between the searches on either of them.

One of the reasons I use Google as my homepage is that it is clean, uncluttered and loads quickly. Another reason is Google maps. They are so useful.

Fair point Rags, I prefer simple/clean sites too, it was just the way they took off the UK-only option that pissed me off! I felt it was a bit arrogant.
Their maps are good though and I do use Google sometimes.
