Porridge - made with just oatmeal and water and a little salt, nothing sweet. Eaten with plenty of cream - again, NOTHING sweet to ruin it.
I'm no puritan - I like sweet things that are supposed to be sweet, but porridge isn't one of them.

As always - porridge made with oats and skimmed milk, over a banana and a small handful of sultanas. Before I was diabetic there would have been a dessert-spoonful of Lyle's Golden Syrup in there too, but not nowadays, too much sugar.

And a large mug of tea - skimmed milk, no sugar.

For me, today, the monthly indulgence in an omelet with home fries and toast-- fullsize western with cheese added-- real cheese-- and thick WHITE bread toast with BUTTER and JAM. (NONE of these are on the regular everyday food program, anymore.)

It was divided in half, to have some later-- after the snow-plowing for the month ALSO is done, for which I have a low-cal lo-fat crockpot going with 'maters and beans. Later to add: basmasti and tofu, which is all Greek-spiced and sweetened with Splenda.

$4.19 a tin now for the Hereford tins from Brazil! Glad I bought 48 tins at 99p a while back. Great for a quick hash or sandwiches. Very aromatic.
