Porridge - made with just oatmeal and water and a little salt, nothing sweet. Eaten with plenty of cream - again, NOTHING sweet to ruin it.
I'm no puritan - I like sweet things that are supposed to be sweet, but porridge isn't one of them.

As always - porridge made with oats and skimmed milk, over a banana and a small handful of sultanas. Before I was diabetic there would have been a dessert-spoonful of Lyle's Golden Syrup in there too, but not nowadays, too much sugar.

And a large mug of tea - skimmed milk, no sugar.

I don't understand why something as trivial as this gets so many responses when Hal n Tow gets so few.

Bob Dylan used to complain about reporters asking him trivial stuff like this, kendall. ;-) Check the back of your old Highway 61 revisited album.

For me, today, the monthly indulgence in an omelet with home fries and toast-- fullsize western with cheese added-- real cheese-- and thick WHITE bread toast with BUTTER and JAM. (NONE of these are on the regular everyday food program, anymore.)

It was divided in half, to have some later-- after the snow-plowing for the month ALSO is done, for which I have a low-cal lo-fat crockpot going with 'maters and beans. Later to add: basmasti and tofu, which is all Greek-spiced and sweetened with Splenda.

I'm not Bob Dylan ... I'm just some poor schlepp in eastern Canada, housebound in the deep depths of dark January where the air outside is freezing and the snow is getting deeper and deeper ... in short .... I'm bored, now does anyone give a rat's ass what I had for lunch?

54 grams of All Bran Buds, 175 grams of 1% milk, a minneola orange, and a very large beer mug (well over an Imperial pint) of tea.

The mixture of measures is typical Canadian.

I have a question. I`m saying that because I don`t know how to make a question mark on a French keyboard. This is a kinda persol question for the good folk here. Does anyone else get a strange odor in their urine when they eat corned beef (qm). Every time I eat corned beef my pee smells like Fray Bentos. It`s not something I worry about, but it does make me wonder.

$4.19 a tin now for the Hereford tins from Brazil! Glad I bought 48 tins at 99p a while back. Great for a quick hash or sandwiches. Very aromatic.

OH! I remember! Two heaping spoonfuls of cottage cheese and a blood pressure pill washed down with skim milk. The brekky of champignons!
