Subject: RE: Stolen Instruments update: happy-ish ending From: ClaireBear Date: 25 Apr 11 - 12:05 AM A friend just posted this happy-ish update on Facebook: For those friends who re-posted the note from Ed regarding his stolen instruments, he just posted this today: A HAPPY ENDING (almost)! "I got a call today from a man who had bought four of my instruments. He offered to return them if I didn't involve the police. His girlfriend saw the Internet posting and persuaded him to call me. I got the Dobro, banjo, mandolin and bass back (the dulcimer is still missing.)" |
Subject: RE: Stolen Acoustic Instruments In Berkeley From: Don Firth Date: 23 Apr 11 - 02:21 PM There was ample reason that, in the Old West, horse thieves were summarily hanged. If you stole a man's horse, more often than not, you had stolen his means of livelihood. The same holds true with the theft of a musical instrument. Don Firth |
