Subject: RE: BS: Spam e-mail From: Wesley S Date: 17 Sep 11 - 03:59 PM They DO help you from accidently rolling out of bed at night... Seriously - those things rotate around. We all get them. It's just your turn. I'm sure there are filters of some sort that would help. |

Subject: RE: BS: Spam e-mail From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 18 Sep 11 - 03:00 PM My friend Janet recently contacted AgeUK for some information, and the chap at the other end had to consult his computer. He kept saying "I'm terribly sorry but I just can't get it up...it's awfully slow today, it just won't come up..." She was soooo tempted to ask if he had any Viagra. About the spam stuff, I keep mysteriously getting spam inviting me to find a naughty housewife to have an extra-marital affair with! As I'm female (and happily married as well) I wonder why I keep getting these. (About three or four every day!) |

Subject: RE: BS: Spam e-mail From: JHW Date: 18 Sep 11 - 03:41 PM Not me. Most of this year has seen a dramatic reduction in Pills and Penis spam. Used to get some most days but now very rare. I'd assumed the perpetrator had folded but I see not. But as Jack Dee observed in ISOHAC "How long is it since a clerk in a frock coat dipped his quill pen to write one a copper plate invitation to try penis enlargement?" |

Subject: RE: BS: Spam e-mail From: Bill D Date: 01 Feb 12 - 11:37 AM Interesting.... for the last couple of years, I have gotten almost NO spam. The biggest ISPs in the USA, Comcast & Verizon, seem to have developed filters that catch most of it. For years, I had special programs and checking systems to fight spam, but when one did appear the other day, I was startled. You folks might ask YOUR providers to check and see how Comcast & Verizon are doing it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Spam e-mail From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 01 Feb 12 - 12:15 PM Our Spam filter seems to weed those out, but today I got one from a Polish woman (allegedly) who claims I meet the criteria of her online marriage search- my wife was VERY amused: she's packing for me to go to Poland!
