There is a whole lotta mournin' goin' on and the tears are flowin' freely, as is the booze. I realize it's a bit early in the day to be drinkin', but this is a special and tragic occasion. Although there was a few different chimps that played the part over the years, this one that just died at the age of 80 was definitely the original Cheetah who starred opposite Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan. Word on the street is that they are going to to a remake of the original movie with a few exceptions... One of those exceptions is that this time Cheetah is going to not only pack heat but get to blow up some bad guys... Ain't many monkeys out there with them skills... Of course, they don't know that when you get trigger happy you end up blowing away as many good guys as bad ones but, hey... ...details, right??? So stay by the phone and for gosh sakes, put the bottle down... B~ |
