Subject: RE: BS: Shatner on TV tonight From: JJ Date: 25 May 12 - 09:28 AM Saw him on Broadway in his one-man show, "Shatner's World," back in February, a month shy of his 81st birthday. He held the stage for a hundred uninterrupted minutes, telling stories, showing film clips and generally being William Shatner. I was impressed... |

Subject: RE: BS: Shatner on TV tonight From: GUEST Date: 25 May 12 - 05:02 PM John- Why is it that we can't get these shows in the Colonies? It's just not fair. We always pay our tea taxes, stamp taxes, and tax taxes, and we get no respect! Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Shatner on TV tonight From: gnu Date: 25 May 12 - 06:35 PM John... "(Never thought I'd sday those words about Cap'n Kirk)" Many people say that. They just haven't, I believe, seen much of his work. We, as Canucks, have seen much more than most and realize that he is truly a great actor and comdedian and a pioneer into the inane and absurd DESPITE the emoting characters he has portrayed... when one adds it all up, it almost appears he was having a lark with the viewers of "the bad acting" all along. I am sure it will be looked at and studied in the future. I dare say he will be touted as a genious actor and satirist as much as the Other Bill was a playwright. And, he's got some nice horses on his ranches so he musta done somethin right. Live long and prosper... eh. |
