Subject: RE: BS: Romney - systemic liar

Undeterred by independent fact-checkers that have debunked the thrust of their claims, the Obama campaign is redoubling attacks on Mitt Romney as an "outsourcer" in a new TV ad airing in eight battleground states.
ABC OTUS News
The 30-second spot — titled "The Problem" — claims Romney condoned the Chinese "taking our jobs and taking a lot of our future."

"He made a fortune letting it happen," the narrator says, focusing on Bain Capital outsourcing to China, a country Romney has vowed to challenge as president.

It's the latest in a steady drumbeat of negative attacks on Romney's record as a corporate buyout specialist, alleging he profited off of deliberately bankrupting companies and sending jobs overseas.

The inclusion of China in the new ad also comes as Obama tries to bolster his image as a hard-liner against China. On Thursday, the administration lodged a new complaint against China at the World Trade Organization, challenging tariffs on U.S. auto exports. The case coincided with Obama's campaign bus tour through auto manufacturing country of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The Romney campaign called the latest ad a continuation of "desperate lies," citing reports by several independent fact-checkers that have discredited the suggestion that Romney himself had a direct role in relocating U.S. jobs overseas.

"We found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas," FactCheck.org concluded in a report last month.

Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler also concluded that while Bain-owned companies may have engaged in outsourcing, Romney's ties to the practice are tenuous.

The ad blitz comes in spite of Obama's comments to audiences on his bus tour last week decrying the negative tone of the campaign on TV.

"You guys are getting bombarded with all kinds of nonsense on TV. So I know that sometimes politics can be discouraging, and especially Washington politics can be discouraging, and it can seem small and it can seem petty," Obama said Friday.

Independent media monitors that track campaign advertising report that 76 percent of the TV ads Obama's campaign has aired over the past month have had a negative, "anti-Romney" message.

The new ad begins airing Saturday in New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada, the Obama campaign said.

Maybe that "anti-Romney message" is because Romney is a lying chamelion?

As opposed to the outright lies, falsehoods and bullshit about the Prez in the Tea-publican Koch funded ads?

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

Thanks for posting that Saz. I posted this on Yahoo.

Finding the honest, competent Yahoo writer seems to be the problem. The ad he linked to on this page says that "Romney's friends" did the actual outsourcing and Romney benefited form that. The articles on the other pages, by Fact Check and Kessler, say that is exactly what happened. It shows that The Obama Campaign learns from its errors and corrects them. While Devin Dyer apparently chose to ignore the differences in dialog between the ads he complained about and the ads he was using as the basis of his complaint. It is either a hatchet job of gross incompetence. Is Devin Dwyer worthy of his salary at Yahoo? I hope the administration of these comments forwards this to Devin Dwyer's boss.

Maybe Blowhard #2 Jack can disprove this factchecker

He seems to have run out of air on the Gaza DC Vatican tall buildings thing.

Jeez!! Maybe you could change the dialogue, into WHO is a bigger liar??
Who puts up a bigger bullshit front??
Why don't you just all vote for Obomney!!

You guys STILL just don't plain 'get it'!!..and refuse to DEMAND better from your own 'parties'..or you won't vote for them!

Reminds me of a woman I once counseled who had problems with her confidence, on her attractiveness to her man, and just pleaded with him to "at least lie to me"....astounding!

Romney is a tax dodger. He doesn't care if he ruins businesses and has no faith in the
American economy, since he offshores all of his money.

He will impose his authoritarian values on the American people if he is elected and
I predict a major economic depression as a result.

He might even bring back polygamy, who knows? :)

Most politicians rationalize their lies since they consider that they know what's best
for the public.

The Mormon Church is extremely authoritarian and run by rigid theological rules.
This is Romney's background.

Kennedy was able to some degree keep his Catholicism out of the presidency as far as we know, but Catholics seem more eclectic today than ever. Mormons are not.

I think Romney showed his attitude toward African-American kids when he made his
little funny to them, "Who let the dogs out?" It was patronizing and that's where he's at.

When Blowhard #2 runs out of air the claims victory a slinks off into the bushes.

Jacks Victory: "DC population about 0.6 million Gaza about 1.2 million, no tall buildings in either place, so what does that have to do with the claim? one due to DC rules the other due to foreign intervention. so what does that have to do with the claim? Both very small except that one is over twice the size of the other.but larger than Vatican City.so what does that have to do with the claim? Population density about the same. The Washington DC comparison was only to size, not population. Both had large portions of land illegally annexed,so what? in fact if Virginia If then logical fallacy. had not reneged on donating half the land for DC they would be nearly identical. " But they aren't

The original claim was that the West bank, shifted to Gaza by Jack the shape shifter, Was the most densely populated place on earth.

Neither country is the most densely populated place on Earth and neither are any where near the size of Washington DC.

So if you want to crawl back out of the bushes beat me up some more Jack, have at it.

I don't mind Weaselly Shapeshifting Blowhards or conservative shitholes with high priced tuition that foreigners are clamoring to pay a bit. It just makes things more interesting.

Sawzaw. I made my claim, you have made yours. I think I won. You are flogging a dead horse. Calling me names does not help. Especially since you often accuse others, including me of "ad hominem" "attacks."

I personally think that Gaza and DC are very similar. While they are not exactly the same size relatively the same size and similar as compared to the world's other geographic entities. Compare both to Greenland, Los Angeles or Vatican City. Gaza and Washington are pretty much the same.

I notice you included no context for President Obama's alleged lie on this point. Is that an indication of a moral failing on your part or is that an innocent error of omission. Think about your mistake in context of what you accuse Obama of before you cast the next stone.

Whatever you do I won't be answering you. I have the option of talking with reasonable, fair people who are not purposefully ignorant and who do not call me names. Why would I want to continue talking to you.

DC and Gaza are not the facts in question. You have shifted ground by claiming something hypothetical.

You win in the unproven hypothetical fallacy of the If Then fallacy.

You are very adept at those misleading tactics.

Also you are good at interjecting things that have nothing to do with the original claim as a diversionary tactic that blowhards use.

Bottom line is you have no proven or disproved anything. This is what a Blowhard does, talks and talks and filibusters trying to spend time and wear the other side out with bullshit.

So is The West Bank or Gaza the most populated place on earth or not?

I believe it is Bahrain and The west bank is no more populated than Israel.

Is the West bank or Gaza no bigger than DC or not?

I believe they are bigger than DC.

These are simple questions that you bloviate over rather than admitting to the truth. That is what a blowhard does.

Blowhards try to stick together in their trade-craft and cover for each other so you try to help out Blowhard #1 who is now to chicken to speak for himself.

Sill I haven't called either of you a liar or stupid which is primitive, low class, crude, uncivilized, immature and antisocial.

Civilization is not built on calling each other liar or stupid.

Rather, both of you, whether you realize it or not are under the influence of Tribal Politics. You believe you must divide everybody in to two camps, us and them, good and bad, mean and nice and constantly battle the other camp using their battle against you as a reason to battle them.

This does not solve any of the problems in the world. It does not make the world a better place. It does not build civilizations but merely tears them apart.

Each person needs to analyze everything that is said and every action someone takes and determine independently if it is good or bad regardless of who said it or who took the action.

If you lack that ability or let tribal politics over ride it, you are doomed to the same life or worse for ever. The world will not progress.

My god man, you know that the West Bank and Gaza are bigger than Washington DC and that they are not the most populated place on earth but you doggedly try to deny it to protect your tribe and it gets you nowhere.

Please read up on logical fallacy and tribal politics.

I have no trouble truthfully saying that relatively speaking compared to other geographic areas the are about the same size and I have no trouble understanding the gaffe that you imply Romney made saying that DC and the West Bank were the same size, if he got the West Bank confused with Gaza.

That was Bobert that claimed The West Bank was no bigger than Washington DC.

I wondered if Romney believed the same and that it would take a Moron or bald faced liar [Bobert's descriptions] to claim that.

Bobert's BS and continued inability to man up to his mistakes points out his his HPD and lack of humility as summed up in his statement "First of all, I am very rarely wrong!!! No brag, just pure fact!!!"

...and answered by me, "Because parrots who are INTO political dogma don't understand what common sense is!!....they just squawk for another free cracker."

Does this guy Bobert speak for everybody? He seems to want to tell everybody what to think and what to believe. Brainwashing.

Mark Twain did... Earnest Hemingway did... That was fiction, Was it not?

This self aggrandizing fellow wants people to believe his fiction over fact. I do believe The West Bank is larger than The District of Columbia and I do believe Qatar is the most Densely populated.

Why would anyone want anyone to believe otherwise?

Perhaps this will put the fiction into perspective.

Bobert, I believe he is a sincere, intentioned Democrat...who believes the Republicans and the Tea Party, were bought off by globalist bankers..and that the Democrats apparently weren't worth 'buying off', so they were exempt, from the corruption, of those groups.
Don Firth is his partner, in all this, but, from all indications, not as sincere as Bobert..but rather a self appointed 'activist'.
That being said, their sincerity, out of a sense of a lack of alternatives, has rendered them a bit myopic, and left them sincerely wrong!

Waving!!

Well, I grew up with a Democrat (my mom) and a staunch Republican (my dad) who would on occasion get into so very heated discussions at the supper table... I kinda sided with my mom more but my dad would score a point now and then... Rarely...

So I worked for Bobby Kennedy and then later, Jimmy Carter...

By the time Slick Willie came around I was sick of Democrats and went Green and stayed green until the 2nd Bush term... Guess I'm haning with Dems these days but no longer a Democrat... Just need to stop the TeaPubs and then go back to 3rd party...

First of all Jack, a question is not an assertion.

"I wonder if Romney believes The West Bank is no bigger than Washington DC?"

Let me round that out for you Jack. I should have said I wonder if Romney believes The West Bank is no bigger than Washington DC Like Bobert does?

This could be construed as a rhetorical question that contains the assertion that Bobert believes The West Bank is no bigger than Washington DC.

However Bobert has stated that The West Bank is no bigger than Washington DC so evidently he believes it.

That is unless he wants us to believe the bullshit things he says that he doesn't believe himself.

So therefore I borrowed Bobert's own style of making belicose, blowhard assertions when I said "It would take a either a bald faced liar or a moron to believe that."

Warning: Before you read this, ask Bobert if it is OK first.

Obama campains against "Romney the outsourcer" using money from outsourcing.

Obama's Outsourcing Far Worse Than Romney's

Obama's second largest fundraiser is John Rogers, the CEO of investment giant Ariel Capital Management. He has raised more than $1.5 million for Obama's reelection campaign. Bully for him, except for one thing: Ariel Capital Management owns a $48.6 million stake in Accenture, which just happens to be, according to the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, the nation's "best" outsourcer.

And that's not all for Rogers; he stated that he wants to intensify the trend that started with moving call centers and factories overseas to outsourcing "day-to-day activities" including pest control, landscaping, and secretarial functions. And Rogers isn't ashamed one bit:

"We're making a very big bet right now on outsourcing. People have generally soured on the idea, and many companies are trading at discounts to their private-market values. But we don't think that view accurately reflects the powerful secular growth we're going to see as companies and individuals outsource more of their day-to-day activities."

Of course, Rogers isn't just anyone; he and Obama were buddies in Chicago, and Rogers' ex-wife Desiree left a $350,000 per year job at Allstate Insurance Company to serve as White House party planner.

Obama's largest fundraiser, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who raised $2 million for the campaign and co-hosted a $10 million Hollywood fundraiser in May, has been trying to outsource jobs to China by expanding his company's work there. Why, Jeffrey has even been investigated by the SEC for doing it.

GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt was appointed by his good friend Barack to lead the White House Jobs Council. During Immelt's reign at GE, GE rid itself of more than 34,000 American workers, while adding 25,000 foreign workers to its payroll. Additionally, in July 2011, GE fired 150 workers at its X-ray division in Wisconsin and moved the operation to China, hiring 65 new workers there.

While Obama's campaign released an ad boasting of green jobs it has created through energy loans it has given, they failed to mention a salient point: among the loans were three taxpayer-guaranteed loans to Spanish clean energy conglomerate Abengoa worth $2.78 billion to create 195 permanent jobs—more than $14 million per job—as well as a $529 million loan guarantee to Fisker Automotive, which manufactures $100,000 electric cars in Finland and is now virtually bankrupt.

Obama gave GM $45 billion in tax breaks so GM did not have to pay a dime in income taxes after making a $7.6 billion profit.

The following is from the same (or a same) article partly quoted by Saws. It is worth a VERY close read. It raises a few questions that could use a few answers. Please note that people who support Romney don't give a rat's ass where the money comes from, and it's even better when it comes from taxpayers, mostly because there is a visceral pleasure Republicans and other quasi-Conservatives get from a big ripoff. The Bush administration took great glee in having pulled off one of the largest bank robberies in American history and here we have people on deck rearranging ping pong tables of the Titanic.

Obama's choice was to let the USA seek protection behind Chapter 11 or feed the folks who were swimming in personal fortunes that make some States look to them with financial envy. Not much of a choice. And now we have Romney espousing the same thing. He deserves to be discounted (and likely will be at the polls), thus making his song and dance routine a waste of money. The day I trust any Republican about anything to do with taxpayers and money . . . .

"RECOMMENDED: 10 things to know about Mitt Romney

Romney's six largest campaign contribution sources in 2011 were executives, family members and affiliated political action committees of Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Citigroup and Bank of America, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a Washington, D.C.-based group that monitors campaign finances.

The center said that the leaders of the six Wall Street giants -- which were rescued from ruin by U.S. taxpayers about three years ago -- have given $1.8 million to the Romney campaign.

As for Obama, Goldman Sachs was the sole major financial firm ranked among his top 20 contribution sources for 2011, with gifts of just $64,000 compared with $496,000 to Romney.

As they line up behind Romney, banks and investment firms are being joined by a new generation of hedge fund and private equity managers with deep pockets.

They are backing the candidate who comes from their ranks -- Romney, a former private equity executive.

"The financial industry has preferred Romney from the beginning when he started his campaign," said Viveca Novak, spokesperson for the center. "He is of their world. They believe he understands them. So, not suprising they would favor him."'

Yeah, it is interesting, brucie, that Romney had to spend so much $$$ to get through the primaries and now a month or so later leads Obama in $$$???

Throw in the Citizen Cowards United $$$ and the rich are trying, and may very well succeed, in outright buying the November election and have "yes boy" Romney right where they want him which means...

...another Wall Street meltdown within the next 4 years

...more polluted air

...more polluted water

...and the slow dismantling of the New Deal...

Sounds like Somalia to me...

So, a guy--let's call him presidential candidate Shucks--makes promises he's making and then if he keeps them, the only places to get the money from is

1) the American people
2) special interest groups, whom we know have the population's best interests at heart

So, Shucks gets elected. Guess where the payback will come from? The special interest groups have already paid once, so Shucks will turn to that never-ending supply of cash, the American people.

Bruce he can't force the US people to donate. I don't see your point. As I recall, then senator Obama, got a lot of money from Wall Street. But he got much much more from donations from the American people.

The prices for Obama's fund-raising dinners were cut in half, because his 'grass roots' support has fallen dramatically. He, too, now has to depend on the big bucks coming in from big donors.
Now if you don't believe me, at least Google up some info, before running your mouth......then, I won't have to insult you!

They didn't get their money's worth??..or a 'better deal with Romney??
Either way, YOU, and US are NOT being represented.

Yeah, Wall Street knew that in the words of the prophet, "Their asses were grass"... So they loaded up both Obama and McCain with more going to Obama thinking that if he got elected maybe he wouldn't come down on them as hard as McCain would which, of course, McCain wouldn't... It was all calculated on their part to save their asses...

And we on the left aren't too happy that none of these crooks have been prosecuted... No one ever said that Obama represents the left other than ya'll TeaPubs... He ain't and, yeah, we're disappointed that he didn't bust some balls... The investigations are taking way too long... These crooks are going to die of old age at the rate Holder is going...

Wall Street didn't much like Dodd-Frank so their $$$ is now going into Romney Super PACs and you can take that to the bank (pun intended)...
