I use soap, vinegar, baking soda, canola oil... the only "commercial" cleansers I use are Comet, Mr. Clean and Vim (the Vim that is not corrosive... it's full of lemon juice). Oh, and bleach when I wash my kitchen cloths. And alcohol on wounds - I could use peroxide but that's for pussies. If it doesn't hurt like a mother when you wash a wound, how do you know it's working? |

The germs in your house are one thing...and there are a number of sensible and nontoxic ways of controlling that...but the collection of noxious chemicals in the household cleansers aisle at your supermarket will start making you feel pretty cruddy pretty soon if you just stand there and breathe the air. Try it. Go to your local supermarket. Find the aisle with all the cleansers. Stay there and just breathe it in for awhile. Unless your nose is no longer functional from snorting too much coke, I think you'll notice something quite unpleasant in the air. The most healthful and one of the most effective sanitizers you can use to clean your home is the old-fashioned and natural one: vinegar diluted in water. It kills germs and it doesn't kill you. Toxic chemicals, however, will kill you....very slowly...and no one in the industry will pay your medical bills when you get sick from the stuff they sold you. This society is absolutely full of commonly sold commercial products which kill you....but very, very slowly. People don't notice. They find it convenient to just buy what they are told to buy. You notice the stuff that kills you fast, though. I know you do, because there's a thread going about that stuff almost constantly. |

Bobert, Chongo has been amusing himself by imagining all the neat ways he could annihilate you. He went out and bought a great big stuffed bear, calls it "Bobertz", and has it sitting in his office. On a slow day he throws darts at it, fires a few rounds through it with the M1911 pistol, and generally entertains himself that way. Yesterday he hung it by a noose from the flagpole on the side of his building and encouraged local apes and monkeys to throw "stuff" at it. He was finally forced to take it down when Mrs McGillicuddy called the police about it. Chongo and Mrs McGillicuddy are old enemies. She lives on the floor below him, and they have had a long series of disagreements about a great many things. She objects to the sound of sustained gunfire after 11 pm, for instance. |

Some of my dearest friends are humans who would choose to become Chimps (or in one case, a Gorilla), but they can't, because no doctor in America will help them.
