Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Ebbie Date: 05 Oct 12 - 07:55 PM Why? For instance, why do some members of a family scatter far and wide while other members of the same family spend their lives within 15 miles of where they were born? Why do some people in a family devoutly adhere to the religion they were taught in the cradle while other members of the same family proclaim themselves atheist? (Along that same line, why do some people announce that their lord is satan- why would they cling to #2? :) Why do some people cling to a political figure when they already know his/her penchant for falsifying facts and figures and that his/her opinion as given today may well be the opposite tomorrow? When they have already been given absolute proof that there is no real conviction there, that that politician changes his coat as easily as a summer day slides into autumn? It is as if they would consider it as some kind of betrayal if they were to intimate any uneasiness with their choice, notwithstanding that they know that their clay-footed hero has never heard of them, never will and will never be aware of their apostasy. http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/10/05/explaining-the-big-gain-in-job-getters/?hp |

Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: GUEST,TIA Date: 05 Oct 12 - 06:49 PM If you have any evidence that the non-partisan, non-political Bureau of Labor Statistics is promulgating phony numbers, I suggest you contact any reporter anywhere...they will win a Pulitzer when they break this open. What, no evidence? Really? Just wishful thinking on your part. Too bad. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Greg F. Date: 05 Oct 12 - 05:13 PM When it takes a lie to boost your slumping candidate, that is bad for your side, even though you will never admit it. Take that one up with Mitt & Paul, PeeDee- jaysus, have you no shame at all, man? |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Jack the Sailor Date: 05 Oct 12 - 04:23 PM How did the President to get Murdoch to lie WSJ says 7.8% Here is a liar. |

Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Jack the Sailor Date: 05 Oct 12 - 03:29 PM "When it takes a lie to boost your slumping candidate, that is bad for your side," A lie like "I never proposed a 5 trillion dollar tax cut?" Or "I care about the middle class?" |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: pdq Date: 05 Oct 12 - 02:46 PM When it takes a lie to boost your slumping candidate, that is bad for your side, even though you will never admit it. Also bad for the country. {PS: I said I support Romney in 2008 also. Said it here on Mudcat. Still say it.} |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Charley Noble Date: 05 Oct 12 - 02:15 PM pdq- You are a skeptical one! Yes, I partially agree with you but not the conspiracy part. The only way I can see that the unemployment number could drop so significantly with that modest increase in jobs is if a substantial number of people got discouraged and left the labor force. Still, it's not the kind of number Romney supporters were hoping to trumpet. Too bad for your side... Charley Noble |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: pdq Date: 05 Oct 12 - 01:18 PM This is a last minute dirty trick directly from the office of Hilda Solis, another member of Obama's class of convicted tax cheats. She should be forced to resign. Using the government to lie is a crime. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Henry Krinkle Date: 05 Oct 12 - 01:16 PM There's always a decrease at this time of the year. College kids go back to school.Christmas hiring. Then a big increase after Christmas. (:-( ))= |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Rapparee Date: 05 Oct 12 - 01:11 PM I hope that it's not because people have given up looking for work and their benefits have run out. A real decrease in unemployment would be wonderful. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: pdq Date: 05 Oct 12 - 12:53 PM This is just an October Suprise. Expect many more in the next few weeks. The number was invented by government operatives to get Obama across the finish line. To drop the unemployment by 0.4% would require at least 1 million new jobs. We had 114 thousand new jobs last month. Do the math. It's bullshit. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jobless Rate Falls to 7.8%... From: Stringsinger Date: 05 Oct 12 - 11:29 AM if these stats are right, O should be given credit. With Romney, you'll see joblessness rates soar, why, because he doesn't care about the American working man and woman. O might get the rate down further. |
