Now what do you think they intend to do with all that money?? Foreclose on America's freedoms and prosperity, to put THEIR system into place and use the 'government' to enforce it???....Gosh, wouldn't it take a lot of money, and America drowning in debt to pull that off??? ..I know, let's raise taxes more an make it sound noble!!!!

Speaking of 'debt forgiveness'....let's blow off the 'interest due'..46% of every dollar,...EVERY DOLLAR,....is eroded, because of the interest for the Fed printing bogus, fiat money!....(and THAT is the past conservative figure!!).......
.......and we can't afford to barely feed our own people!!!...in our 'land of plenty'!!

There should be a bloody law against the "in-crowd" applauding in the middle of a jazz piece just because some egocentric pillock has "just done a solo". Likewise, anyone caught applauding between movements of symphonies or concertos should be imprisoned without charge indefinitely. Likewise, after every symphony performance, the first person to shout "Bravo!" just to show that he knows that the bloody thing has ended and wants to get himself on the Radio Three recording so that he can tell his missus that "that was him" should be immediately arrested, have his toenails extracted one by one and never allowed near a concert hall ever again. Last Thursday I was sitting there in the out patients waiting room - all miserable - waiting for a biopsy on my tongue. Next to me is this old guy - reading a Kindle.

A nurse comes up and says the doctor is going to be late. Would you both like to go for a coffee in hospital cafe next door.

I tell you all this cos i was contemplating a law saying we should all be nice to each other. But we would miss out on a lot of fun.

The word "like" (unless used in the context of approval) is to be removed from the language. All languages. Starting right now.

For instance, to say "I like chocolate" is correct usage, but to say "well......like......chocolate, like, yeah, like........whoah......like......" is not.

Dead simple, Steve! Just do what the Federal Reserve does in the USA...create it out of thin air in the form of new debt owed TO the Federal Reserve by the rest of society!

This is what has been done as a standard routine by the Fed (and other major banks) for a long time now, and it's why a movie now costs $9.00 whereas it used to cost 25 cents in my mother's youth. The real value of a night out at the movies hasn't changed one iota in all these years, but the money supply has been inflated almost beyond comprehension, and the money itself has accordingly declined greatly in value, and continues to do so.

One difference though: All that magically created money that arrived "Presto!" in the ecomony when the banks created it by making loans didn't get distributed to the general public in the form of cash. Certainly not! It got distributed to the general public in the form of an ever-increasing national debt which they are expected to pay down through their taxes...and through inflation...while the moneylenders (banks) got rich on the interest charges.

And when the moneylenders' bubble bursts, as happens now and then, and there is a major recession or even possibly a depression to deal with, then they get bailed out with more public money, because they are considered "too big to be allowed to fail". And the debt rises even more. And so do the interest charges.

That's what I call a sweet deal....for bankers. Certainly not for the rest of us.

You also haven't quite thought out where we're going to get 25 trillion quid from. However, giving families dosh isn't such a bad idea. It could have been done by giving families vouchers to spend instead of handing hundreds of billions over to banks in the form of quantitative easing (aka printing money). Unlike the banks, families would have ploughed the dough back into the economy and stimulated the growth we so badly need to get us out of the downward spiral.

A Law to give every family £1,000,000 in cash. It would solve the debt that many people have, it would boost the economy vastly, it would solve child poverty. People could live instead of existing. State benefits could cease, which would save a fortune. Those who wished to work could do so and those who did not could also have a choice. Now some would squander their newly found fortune and quickly end up back where they started I hear many of you shout. However with correct financial education this could possibly be avoided and if not we could always reintroduce the poor house. I've not thought through this bit yet.

Yes, a law against shop assistants and others who deal with the public calling anyone over 55 'dear', 'flower', 'darling', 'pet' etc. in the most patronising manner. Often in a tone of voice that they might use with their child or pet dog, as if those they are addressing don't know what day of the week it is. Example: "That's it dear, put your card in here". As if every chip & pin reader were identical and anyone who didn't know exactly were to place it without hesitation must be completely senile. I had occasion recently to attend an out-patients for physiotherapy and was dismayed to find that even health 'professionals' are doing it. Didn't seem to me to be a particularly professional way to be dealing with clients.

My point absolutely. I always park my car as far away as possible from the shop entrance, always in acres of spaces. I could be gone for no more than two minutes, but every bloody time some w*anker has parked right next to me, so close that I can't open my bloody door. Jesus. There ought to be some law or other all right. T*osspots!

And I dived into Morrisons petrol station last night, having discerned that there was no queueing and loads of free pumps (unusual). No sooner had I pulled up next to my chosen pump than a woman drove up and queued behind me. Bloody queued behind me, fer chrissake! She could have gone to any of about six other pumps, either side of her car, but no, she bloody chose to queue right behind me. I mean, what the hell is that all about! When I got back to my car after paying she was giving me a dirty look that said hurry up and drive off NOW you selfish b*astard. Still with loads of free pumps. There ought to be a law that says she should have been arrested and imprisoned without charge, dammit.

The position seems to be:

In view of the problems with drunken youngsters vomiting, fighting and committing criminal damage until 2 or 3am every night of the week, and the ensuing cost of policing this, I think a new law is needed. It would ban any sale of alcohol after midnight, and all clubs and such establishments to be vacated by 1am. That is quite late enought for anybody to be out. These 'kids' should be working. If not, where do they get the money for all this antisocial partying?
As to bottoms on show in aeroplanes, I think there should indeed be a code of decency in public. No need for burkas. Just no bums on show, and no wobbly bellies hanging out, especially not pregnant ones. My friend and I were served in a cafe by a pregnant lassie with jeans down so low we had her pubes in our faces as we sat there. Not a good look IMO.

I would make it unlawful for any public appointee, police commissioner, quango board member ... to have ever been a formal member of a political party.   And obviously that all candidates in elections must be formal members of whatever party they stand for. People standing for Parliament as independents are a special case, and for these we should use a precise statistical rule to determine whether their voting record is significantly different to the other parties. If not, they are also excluded.
