As if anyone has followed this 10 year old thread update, its time to buy Apple betwen 450 and 500.

If you acted exactly as I suggested and bought 10 shares ($13,200) 9 years ago, you would now have about $70,000* above your investment.*based on selling 100 below its high mark.

My last post told you to sell all your Apple, Now its time to re buy at this 200+ point dip.

Apple will find its second wind with the release of a new Apple TV technology beyond other smart TVs in a couple years. Inside info: Apple will be gaining a massive Federal Gov. contract as the Feds switch from RIM Blackberry to i phones starting this year.

Microsoft and Google are still good candidates for explosive growth but not if they stick to old models. For all I know Google may end up having a transportation branch of self driving taxis you could summon on line someday soon.

My best tip is a German company that has found the protein that prevents any destructive ice crystals that would destroy tissue in cryogenic as well as frozen food processes. Anyone who freezes food at home to giant manufactures of frozzen food would use this product.

I have other advice but whats the point, leading horses to water wise.

The whole market appears overpriced.

No indication the deficit will be dealt with in any convincing fashion anytime soon--and this will become progressively more obvious. There is plenty of room for the market to fall.

I hope the federal government does gravitate to Apple--especially the desk computers which are now locked into Macroslop. Hope your rumor about Blackberry also pans out.

We'll see.

Also, because of the deficit problem, it will likely not be possible to make a big shift in computer configuration---unless a convincing argument is made it will save money.

Possible argument:   since Macroslop computers are target of every virus writer in the world, the feds now are forced to keep a huge staff of computer experts just to deal with the constant patches needed to try to keep viruses at bay.

Counterargument:   since we are talking about budget games, if these computer experts are, as I believe, mainly contract workers, not federal employees, cutting down their numbers may not show up in budget savings--so you can't claim it addresses the deficit.

The federal government computer system is now a thing of threads and patches.

Ho Hum.
If Apple is adopted by business and government, they it will become the main target of the virus creators; the contract workers will keep their jobs.

Microsoft programs look to be the business standard for some time to come.

(Converting the world's business records to another system could solve the unemployment problem- i. e., if the unemployed were computer program savvy.)

I agree, Charmion.    Precious few ballad songs in the regulations.    Maybe that would be an improvement.   At least they wouldn't be so stultifying to read.

I think it's shreds and patches.

OK, no problem.   Thought threads might fit Mudcat a bit better.

But "shreds and patches" is dead on to describe the federal computer system.   Even better, in fact.

I was truly amazed to find that literally every weekend there were desperate patches applied--(contractors must have worked every weekend)--and still there were constant dire warnings of problems.

Got the distinct impression that trying to keep Macroslop computers running was the little boy putting his thumb in the dike.

Historically, the Feds first choice for computerization was Apple.
However Steve Jobs would not allow any release of their source code to the government and nixed the deal forever leaving the government only one other choice which was Microsoft. If only cooler heads had prevailed.

The debt and deficit are maybe number 6 and 7 down the list of important issues. They matter but not as much as a need for spending across the board to create jobs.

Buying apple between 400 and 450 is a good investment.
Much of the drop in price is manipulation by the big hedge funds and trillionaires. A major product release having to do with smart tv will be the impetus for the next skyrocket climb.

Unfortunately the government i phone contract coming up will not include defense and security departments at this time. We will see.

NOTES:

The democratizing trend in silicon valley is putting more business in the hands of consumers and on line entrepreneurs. Important improvements in education, national policy and personal products that will will tailor help to individuals be it languages, art, film and individual deficits. We are getting away from the big monopolies with apps. The average developer of most apps today only realize hundreds of dollars. Maybe the million dollar is coming when they out do pay pal.

The i pad is ideal for musicians when music is displaying real time fingerings, words and orchestration. The i pad has the ability to replace the living room TV. Search engines will become more purpose specific which will be a problem for Google. Google will have to have a separate mobile search or they will lose out to the app world.

*******
HTM5 is the next coming internet system after 12 years of html dominance.
*******

Samsung is one half of all the android app world. Samsung will continue to outgrow the others. Worth looking into as an invesment.

If Microsoft does only what they have done before they will lose ground.

Facebook's one billion consumers bound as a media service holds much potential but was raped by wall street in the short sell betrayal on their first offering. Face book still needs to figure out mobile.

The next new thing will be the ability to buy something with your i phone with one or two clicks instead of pay pal or apple credentials or other time consuming multiple click methods.

Amazon is on the right path to quick purchasing via pc, kindle fire but is still short of mastering mobile.

Twitter is a genius product but like Ebay it is missing its opportunity to make a masterful business out of it. Twitter needs to move toward discussion and away from broadcast. Conversational possibilities on Twitter could yield great profits. Will they do it?

Apple is an inexpensive stock now. it has a low PE multiple it has a cash flow equal to 10% of its stock price which is crazy for wall st.
Micro soft and Google are both below market multiples. They won't hurt you but they need one of those 10 year changes that change everything and that is in doubt. They don't have to be right, they just need to be not wrong.

Amazon and Twitter the evaluation is really high. so are not good buys.
