Subject: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 28 Jan 13 - 09:50 PM Just tryin' to come up with some new territory for MudcatNation to conquer so here it is: Do you post stoned??? Now I'll be the first to admit that I might have posted a time or hundred here stoned... Or not, of course??? So there ya'll have it... The truth will set you free!!! B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Don Firth Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:02 PM Well . . . not necessarily referring to you, Bobert, but people posting stoned could explain one helluva lot! Don Firth |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bill D Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:03 PM uve courshe not.. *hic*... |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bill D Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:08 PM Now... seriously... I would be curious to know why anyone would WANT to say so if they did. In the far distant past, I have been stoned... maybe 3-4 times. It was interesting, but I never saw the lure of it as a semi-permanent condition. I don't, as some do, call it 'seriously dangerous', but it was NOT a condition I felt aided my ability to cope with the world. *color me bemused* |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:11 PM Nope. Can't say that I do. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Amos Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:24 PM I haven't been stoned in that sense of the word in a coon's age, Bobeair. 'Course, if I had I would just appear brilliant and lyrical and such and no-one could really tell the difference except I might be hard to understand. A |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:35 PM Heh! I suspect you'd wax long-winded, erudite, and sesquipedalian to the point of almost stupefying the reader under an avalanche of astoundingly subtle bloviation, Amos, replete with exquisitely put summations of all that our lives and times resonate to. As you say, no one would be able to tell the difference. If Bobert stopped posting stoned, however, there'd be a big difference! He'd apologize to Chongo about all the denigrating remarks he's made and beg forgiveness. He'd swear never again to mention poo-flinging when bringing up Chongo's name. He'd make a contribution the to APP, and he'd quit bringing up Lyndon LaRouche all the time. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bill D Date: 28 Jan 13 - 10:48 PM I wonder if John in Kansas would explain technical stuff in short, succinct sentences if he ate a dozen electric brownies? |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST,Stim Date: 28 Jan 13 - 11:14 PM Maybe he'd explain technical stuff in short, succinct sentences if he hadn't eaten a dozen electric brownies... |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 29 Jan 13 - 12:22 AM A real stoner would answer Bobert's question by saying: "Uhh..........yeah....I........uhhh.........What was the question?" |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 29 Jan 13 - 12:28 AM Oddly enough, that's kind of how Ronald Reagan would answer the question too...but not for the same reason. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: VirginiaTam Date: 29 Jan 13 - 02:22 AM No. More likely that I am stunned by posts. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Charmion Date: 29 Jan 13 - 06:27 AM No. I can't stay awake when intoxicated, let alone spell. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 29 Jan 13 - 06:33 AM I have never had anything to do with drugs of any sort. I talk enough drivel as it is. If I were 'stoned' I expect I'd write the most inane rubbish imaginable. |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:03 AM Well, well, well... Just as I expected... The denial parade... Ya'll missed the part about "the truth will set you free"... Don't make me get out the rubber hose... B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST,999 Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:23 AM Hey, man, I'm under deep deep deep deep DEEP cover doing work for the FIB. You are getting all kinds of poeple/peeple/peopel folks in trouble. Regarding the rubber hose, we could make one heckuva bong using that. For the record, I have never smoked and I never will. A friend of mine did and he told me to say all this stuff. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:58 AM Yo, brucie's friend... Don't smoke thru no garden hose when you can have the real thing - a real Corinthian Plastic Bong - for only $19.95 (plus S & H) from Bongs-R-Us (www.bongsrus)... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Mooh Date: 29 Jan 13 - 10:10 AM Not stoned on weed, no. In my early days here I would sometimes post while being a little drunk, but I've been dry for a few years now. It used to be more fun. Peace, Mooh. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: wysiwyg Date: 29 Jan 13 - 10:24 AM I don't indulge in the product that fits this word, but I have from time to time posted while pain meds were wearing off. That's not why my posts are garbled tho-- that happens when I try to post from cell or tablet and the cursor misbehaves due to low memory or android not always playing well with site programming. I've noticed that on Facebook as well-- sometimes it's better to compose in a notepad on those devices and then paste, tho the fone does not always take me up on that and will insist on pasting in a prior clipboard entry. ~S~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: kendall Date: 29 Jan 13 - 10:42 AM Never. I don't see the sense in being out of my mind. |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST,Chongo Chimp Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:19 AM Ya see, Bobertz, it works like this. You are the one in denial. See? The rest of these people here have grown up, so they don't smoke dope anymore like they once did when they was young, inexperienced, frustrated, bored, lookin' to build themselves an identity, and tryin' desperately to fit in with their generation and do the "cool" thing by smokin' up together. They was findin' their wings, see? Testin' their boundaries and defyin' parental authority and all that. Now that they mostly became parents themselves and their own parents have departed to the celestial choir, they got other concerns on their mind than actin' cool by gettin' stoned and passin' around the old joint whilst lissenin' to Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin. They have accepted change and moved on, Bobertz. When are YOU gonna do the same? - Chongo p.s. I sometimes post after havin' downed a couple whisky. It helps clear my mind. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Donuel Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:27 AM I am in limited agreement LH. There are states of reality that can be entered in which great wisdom, invention and transcendental extra musicular phantasmagorical epiphanies may be lived only by injesting common but true magical life forms. At any age. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Pete Jennings Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:32 AM No, don't smoke dope. Nor under the influence of alcohol: computer gets switched off at 6pm, when the sun's over the yardarm, and stays off till the morning. I see Chongo is still talking bollocks, Bobz. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Donuel Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:36 AM A couple whiskies, will help clear your mind of all those unessessary and un needed neurons. Especially aT the rate you post. It all depends on the meaning of the word sometimes. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:39 AM Why not show a little nerve, and do what bored aristocrats did in the 1700s, Bobert? Take snuff! The stuff will damn near blow your head off and clear your sinuses right out. Think of the sense of clarity that follows that experience! |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 29 Jan 13 - 11:53 AM If I felt an inclination toward being stoned, posting on an Internet discussion forum is about the last thing I'd want to do. Too many instruments to play. Too many woods to walk around in. Too many balls of clay needing to be turned into pots. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: wysiwyg Date: 29 Jan 13 - 12:25 PM Bobberz, I know you iz kidding but lawyoos are circling over my surgery/insurance appeal, so I gotta say in writing..... NOPE, it really iz the machines. ~S~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: gnu Date: 29 Jan 13 - 02:53 PM 9... Perish the thought... and pass it around, eh? "Tried weed once, many years ago - didn't do a thing for me." Usually, a beginner must toke a minimum of two times within a 2 to 4 week period to experience a stone. A certain (as in, fer sure it's gonna happen) exception to this rule of thumb is smoking WAY too much the first time. That is not good. The less weed you smoke, the better the stone... remember what George Carlin said : "You don't get more stoned; you get lower on dope." "I don't see the sense in being out of my mind." Not quite what takes place. Unless you smoke WAY too much the first time or mix it with two much alcohol. As well, one can enhance the other in small amounts (and also can be a problem for some). The effect of one on the other can depend on which is ingested first. That is, a SMALL toke can be enhanced with a FEW drinks and vice versa. Copious quantities of one or both when combined lead to weight gain, physical injury, jail time or unwanted pregnancy... or all in one night... just watch the TV show "Cops". I have never posted stoned* on accounta I haven't smoked in years and years. gnu, PhD.PH, Fellow Emertius *As some of you may have noticed, I have posted after having a coulpe of Buds. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: gnu Date: 29 Jan 13 - 02:56 PM "two much alcohol" you ask? That would twice as much as "too much". A stoner woulda got that without me having to explain it. >;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 29 Jan 13 - 04:07 PM "Ummm.............yeah........like.... Heavy, man." "Hey? You ever notice the pattern on this wallpaper here? Oh, wow........." "Far out, man......gimme a hit..." (The typical stoner scene back in the early 70's. This was how the great powers that be...or an unlucky fate...diverted an entire generation from serious social involvement in issues that actually matter and steered them into completely wasting their time and energy on pointless, empty-headed partying.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 05:34 PM Pathetic... Absolutely pathetic bunch of geriatrics... Ya'll think that all stoners are like Cheek 'n Chong... Actually, that is very funny... B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST,999 Date: 29 Jan 13 - 05:38 PM If any of you have any extra bud, mail it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. They need it there after their hard work on gun laws. Fawk . . . |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Gervase Date: 29 Jan 13 - 06:49 PM Before 2000 I used to live stoned, let alone post stoned. Since then I've hardly touched the stuff, and hardly ever post. Go figure, as my American cousins would say... |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 06:52 PM No, don't sent that bud to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave... Send it to poor ol' Gervase... he needs it more than Obama... B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 29 Jan 13 - 06:58 PM The minutes passed in silence................The air with smoke grew thick,............The Sheriff said ""...Ooooh! The colours man!"" And was promptly, horribly sick! I've posted irritable, infuriated, disgusted, contemptuous, despairing and downright bloody disheartened. Also caring, sympathetic, supportive, hopeful and slightly tipsy. Do you really think I could even spell all of those if I were stoned, let alone remember them? Don T. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 07:02 PM It ain't all that hard, Don... You just need some practice and spell check... Don't knock it if you ain't tried it... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:18 PM Okay, let's do a little experiment... People going "Horrors, I would never either be stoned or post stoned..." Okay... Am I stoned right now??? For "yes" call 1-YUP-MESSEDUP... For "no" call 1-NAH-NOWEEDZ... (Note: There may be charges for voting... Heh heh...) B~ |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: YorkshireYankee Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:38 PM I got a "contact high" once, after standing a few yards away from someone smoking pot. I was working as a chambermaid at the time (the person smoking was the hotel receptionist, on her break). All afternoon, as I went around making beds & cleaning bathrooms, I felt quite odd -- sort of as though my head was few feet above where it usually is... after a while wondering what was going on, I suddenly thought, "Oh... that's why they call it a "high"!", but couldn't figure out how it had happened... 'til I told a friend about it. He giggled and said, "Oh, that's so cute! You got a contact high!" I'd never heard of one before. It was interesting, but didn't strike me as being all that much fun -- but then I always was a bit of a "goody two-shoes", I'm afraid. |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 29 Jan 13 - 09:59 PM Yo, Yank... Find whomever was smokin''round you an' get 'um to share... Yer half the way there, babe... B;~) |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bill D Date: 30 Jan 13 - 11:08 AM 43 years ago.... hotel room... 15 or so folks sitting, lying, leaning on whatever was available... towels stuffed under the door.... rather 'smoky'... me, sitting on the edge of a dresser, trying in my usual way to carry on a conversation, wondering why everyone was giggling and chortling at everything I said. I wondered, briefly, if my zipper was open... Nope... not that. Finally decided that THEIR perceptions were a bit ...ummm... distorted by all that smoke, as *I* knew I wasn't saying anything very funny. It was an interesting evening, but something deep inside me was kinda opposed to the artificiality of that laughter, and I seldom bothered with that stuff after that....at least I never went out of my way to seek it! I had ONE experience where I saw why musicians might feel...ummm 'freer' with a little enhancement.... but I'm not really a musician; I just managed to play along (on a sopranino recorder) with a band for about 3 minutes, doing riffs I've never been able to repeat. So... diffrn't smokes for diffrn't folks... |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Little Hawk Date: 30 Jan 13 - 12:01 PM But, Bill, you are funny when you talk about things, specially when you get serious about making a point of some kind.... (Just joking! Actually, my opinion on this matter is identical to yours.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 30 Jan 13 - 12:50 PM Like I said... Bunch of stuffy geriatrics here... I don not know what I am going to do with you people... Passin' a joint over to ya'll is definitely out... B;~) |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: Bobert Date: 30 Jan 13 - 04:59 PM Thanks for the primers, brucie... BTW, I'm on the high side (pun intended) of the 8 to 11 times more creative... 'Round 10 and a half but then again it depends on the quality of the smoke... Mexican??? More like a 9... West Virgina skunk??? Right at 11... Yo, LH... The smell of good weed is an acquired smell that comes with experience... I mean, you seem to not mind Chongz poo in the corner of yer living room and pot smoke is like the finest French perfume compared to Chongz poo... B~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Do You Post Stoned??? From: GUEST Date: 30 Jan 13 - 05:42 PM I had years of exposure to the smell of the blasted stuff in the early 70s, Bobert, since almost everyone I knew then was using it. I didn't like it then. I don't like it now. Now...they were all smoking cigarettes at the time too....and that smelled even worse, admittedly. There is no animal in Nature dumb enough to deliberately inhale smoke, smoke of ANY kind...except for the odd Chimp who's become perverted by hanging around human beings too much. That should tell you something. ;-) |
