"Otash, who had installed bugging devices in her Los Angeles home, has long been derided by Kennedy admirers for his claims to have listened to a tape of Monroe and JFK in bed together.
But the notes published by The Hollywood Reporter magazine last week contained a detailed account of his bugging activities and what he heard.
Shortly before his death, he told an interviewer: 'They were having a sexual relationship ... but I don't want to get into the moans and groans.'
And in his notes, Otash claimed: 'I listened to Marilyn Monroe die.'
He recorded that on August 5 1962, she had a violent argument with the Kennedys and that she felt that she had been 'passed around like a piece of meat'.
The notes read: 'She was really screaming and they were trying to quiet her down.
'She's in the bedroom and Bobby gets the pillow and he muffles her on the bed to keep the neighbors from hearing. She finally quieted down and then he was looking to get out of there.'
Otash only found out she had died later on.

I think that these conspiracy theories are often a bit far-fetched, and that the simplest explanation is the most likely. The poor woman took all sorts of dodgy medication to calm herself down and wake herself up, not to mention a lot of alcohol. It's more than reasonable to deduce that her body was overwhelmed and gave out. It's the same with the Diana conspiracy idea. The fact is that the driver, Henri Paul, was not fit to drive, and crashed the car. Michael Jackson too died because of dangerous levels of medication in his system. It's all very sad but not particularly sinister.

Apart from the cause of death as listed on the death certificate, the results were never made public and no record of the findings was kept."

After Marilyn had her alleged affair with JFK, she vanished from public view. The story got out that she had died of a drug overdose, but naturally the chronic conspiracy theorists and Kennedy haters had to get into the act as they invariably do.

Actually, now it can be told. Fed up with Hollywood, living constantly in the spotlight, and never having a moment of privacy, she vanished into the Great North Woods in the north end of Seattle. On one of my frequent rambles through the forest, you can imagine my surprise when I found her living in a cave in Seattle's Cowan Park. She was cold, wet, and uncomfortable, and although she felt physically miserable, she was very glad to be away from it all.

I offered her sanctuary in my University District apartment. She moved in with me and soon we began a steamy affair.

But I got tired and shook her, and ran off with General Hooker, 'a-huntin' skeeters down in Tennessee.

When I returned, I found a note from her saying that she had had a sex change operation and was now applying for astronaut training.

Since she'd had a complete identity change, the world lost track of her.

The rumor is that she's alive and well and living on Mars.

An experienced professional driver like Henri Paul, with a reputation to maintain & a living to make, does not drink himself legless when responsibly at work for a particularly distinguished but notoriously vulnerable passenger. He must have been got at, his drinks spiked. Her death was just far too convenient to all sorts of influential people, who would not have wished the second and third heirs to the Throne to find themselves with an Islamic stepfather. So was Marilyn's, to the Kennedy lot. I'm not generally much of one for conspiracy theories either; but these two cases do, to express it at its lowest, perpetually bug me.

I have always sincerely pitied Marilyn Monroe. It seems to me she was heartlessly manipulated as a profitable concern and used in every way by men. Her sordid end showed how little anyone truly cared about her as a person. She was vulnerable and naive IMO, needing reassurance and support towards boosting her self-esteem. Very sad.

Politicians and other powerful persons killing for their own career is a serious phenomenon, still acute. Remarkable that the once idolized Kennedys are now thought perfectly capable of that - presumably in the light of their now known role in the Vietnam war and other crises. Their current reincarnation seems to have just arrived at a similar turning point.

As for Norma Jean, we should add that she was also remarkable as a singer, her recordings still being a pleasure to listen to.
