Help: St. Brendan's Voyage - recording info

I heard this Jimmie Driftwood song numerous times on folk radio years ago but never noted down who recorded it. My bandmates have just had a baby named Brendan, and I want to get them a recording of the song -- any leads?

(I looked it up in DigiTrad, which lists words [helpful] but has no recording info.)

St. Brendan's Voyage was recorded by Christy Moore on the album Ordinary Man in 1985. see his website at:

Mick Moloney and Eugene O'Donnell recorded it on their "Uncommon Bonds" CD. It's on Green Linnet Records, #GLCD 1053. (I just happen to have it here with me, can you tell?) It's a great CD, with a number of excellent musicians, including Norman and Nancy Blake, Seamus Egan, Liz Carroll, and many others. Interestingly, they call it "St. Brendan's Fair Isle." I've met Mick at the Augusta Heritage Center in West Virginia, where he hosts Irish Week, and I can wholeheartedly recommend any of his CDs.

Barley Bree has also recorded the song, as did Jimmy Driftwood. It is on one of Barley Bree's Shanachie recordings. There are also quite a few references to St. Brendan on the web.

The Wolfe Tones have also recorded a "Brendan", I think the one noted above as "Brendan's Fair Isle".
