Who made the video? A lot of the stuff on YouTube isn't recorded by a sound engineer, it's just some random person with a iPhone. As Gargoyle so succinctly points out, if you can do better...

The problem is pervasive. When was the last time you went to a family event such as a party and did not find the amplified music intolerably loud, if not painful? I was at a festival not long ago when the sound was amped to ear damaging levels. When I complained, I was given the usual "The people want it this way" response. The current batch of sound people seem to trade in volume rather than quality.

When was the last time you went to a major [2 or more stages] festival that did not suffer from sound bleed?

Dear Mr. GNU,

If you can do better...present a CV and apply for the job.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

I am sure the musicians will gladly refund your fees.

arse!

I just nestled in to watch a 1:45h concert on You Tube of a band that I admire greatly. Two minutes in... PFFFFT! Screw that! I know the song. I know the lyrics. I also know that if the sound engineer screws up so bad that I can't make out the lyrics on the video of the LEAD song, it ain't happenin' fer this little black duck. Sufferin' succotash! I'd have to be one daffy duck to bother to listen to any more.

Does this kinda stuff piss off anyone else?

My take is this. If a human participates in a musical performance with voice, I should be able to make out the words. Those who know me will understand how politely I phrased that. Seriously, being as upset as I am right now, I have toned down my fucking language.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
