Subject: Review: Song of Granite Joe Heaney film From: Jim Carroll Date: 13 Jul 17 - 06:39 AM Just gor back from seeing the opening film of the Galway Film Fleadh - 'Song of Granite - a magnificent biographical account of the life of the great Irish language singer Wonderful song and music performances from the cast, fascinating footage of Joe in the U.S., and snippets from the rarely seen 'The Irishmen' Particularly interesting were the depictions of Joe's early life in Connemara. A must for every Irish song enthusiast - if it ever comes your way Jim Carroll |
