Only a request from the PM to investigate - but for a mere 1 Billion GBP we could save 1 Billion GBP a day. (methinks them is bigging-up (ie down) the deal, and like all politicians, mendaciously so)

Why ever would we want one? Because we value the precision of scrambled GPS so highly and the European system looks to be off-limits to us in its most precise version.

Now I willingly incur the wrath of Brexiteers for this one goal post that has moved so far away as to warrant a new pseudo goal post. And it was never predicted even when the security headquarters for the Galileo system moved from London.

Yes Yes, we save on not contributing to the European one, but like all duplications, it ain't as cheap as co-operating.

And to happily mix metaphors this particular goal post is only the tip of the iceberg. Change costs money, and we are in for BIG changes and appropriate costs. Payback? try 10 years. All them thar goal posts you ain't looking at will have moved big time by then. That's life.
