The ultra violet light activated resins (glue) you can buy were first used in dentistry and then glasses repair but now I found it can fix a string too close to frets in ten seconds. Just a tiny bit of the resin spread on the lower bridge where the string rests and then cured with included uv light did the trick for me. It is invisible but looks green under UV light.

If you already have superglue and baking soda [or even bone dust...???] in the house,
would this be as strong as, or even stronger a fix...???

Do I really need an excuse to buy and try an ultra violet glue kit
just for the fun of it, in the xmas sales...?????

That's an interesting trick, Donuel - I assume you're talking about the saddle here. Given that buzzing can be caused by several things - wear on the saddle, wear at the nut, an unseated or worn fret, neck arching, etc. - I think I'd prefer a more manual and traditional solution.

But if it was an emergency solution, in a pre-concert situation, say, then good luck to it.

It's a good trick for the nut, as is the bone dust and super glue. For the saddle, I would just cut a new one.

I experimented and found I could multiply the strength of light activated resin by mixing a bit of moisture activated superglue. Its about ten fold better in attachment and permanency.
My cousin was first to market super glue 60 years ago in Boston so I am more than acquainted with adhesives.

But with enough area of attachment resin is all you need raise soft acoustic strings that travel widely in the middle. The saddle/ bridge allows smaller adjustments than the nut imo.
