Subject: Origins: Song sung by Fess Parker in Jayhawkers

Hello folks,
I had on the old western Jayhawkers with Fess Parker, and at one point he picked up a small guitar and sang a neat little folk song that consisted of three chords and starts out:

"Yonder sits an old blue jay
A lazy bird is he
He waits for us to catch the worm
And he eats them one two three."

The chorus is:

"Oh hippy happy Henny
With a tiny shiny penny
For a hippy happy Henny I say
Oh hippy happy Henny
With a tiny shiny penny
For the hippy happy old blue jay."

I have been searching for the origins of this little song, but have found nothing except a Youtube recording of the excerpt that includes that song (Fess Parker's song ). I'm beginning to think it was written for the movie! Does anybody know different? Thanks!

The Wikipedia page for the movie says that music was by Jerome Moross.
