Aaaaand...my revolver lost a part at the unloading table and I had to stop, leave the match, and take it to a gunsmith. It was an easy fix, but working with a tiny screw on an outdoor table sitting on gravel isn't good for one's mechanical abilities, especially when one doesn't have the necessary tools. I wasn't charged anything, as it was a small screwdriver & loctite job (possibly a red one, not blue).

The weather is supposed to be nice enough, the roads are okay, I don't have anything else on the schedule, I don't have any medical problems at the moment -- nihil obstat as we used to say! Shall I save you a piece after we barbecue 'em?

There is a very important film that centers on a subject that has had an effect on everyone their entite life. It deserves a thread of its own but ther is no democratic free access. I rebelled against peronality tests written by middle age white guys used for employment. I have always refused to even take them, even for the US government.

2019
I used to think maybe you loved me
Now, baby, I'm not sure
And I just can't wait 'til the day
When you knock on my door
Now every time I go for my phone
Gotta hold myself down
'Cause I just can't wait 'til you text me
You're coming here soon
Now I'm walking on sunshine
I'm walking on sunshine woe-oh
I'm walking on sunshine
And it's starting to feel good, hey
All right now
And it's starting to feel right
2020
I used to think maybe you hate me
Now I know that it's true
Gov'ners decide whose naughty or white
I'm waiting for a vaccine
Now I don't want to move down south
Not for a day, I'm down in the mouth
Red or blue I don't want the flu
I'm livin in lockdown
I'm livin in lockdown woe oh
I'm livin in lockdown
And it's starting to feel good, hey?
I did an all nighter livin in the kichen
or in one dark dirty room
waitin for for the next god damn zoom
I'm livin in lockdown...

I created a very odd toll booth on the Massachuseetts Turnpike. One winter I managed a Mafioso Pizzaria. Sometimes we had left over orders at the end of the night. The most extra pizzas numbered over 30. I would would pass them on to the toll booth attendant who in turn would pass them on to people with kids who seemed hungry.

Nice one, Don! I have a file in my photo directory that is large images I let rotate on my screen saver (before the computer goes to sleep). I've added that one to it. NASA has lovely large images that lend themselves well to the desktop image (I have a black background and the photo that appears on both monitor screens is the rover track on Mars taken several years ago.)

Could Queen Calafia's mythical island exist in space? Perhaps not, but by chance the outline of this molecular space cloud echoes the outline of the state of California, USA. Our Sun has its home within the Milky Way's Orion Arm, only about 1,000 light-years from the California Nebula. Also known as NGC 1499, the classic emission nebula is around 100 light-years long. On the featured image, the most prominent glow of the California Nebula is the red light characteristic of hydrogen atoms recombining with long lost electrons, stripped away (ionized) by energetic starlight. The star most likely providing the energetic starlight that ionizes much of the nebular gas is the bright, hot, bluish Xi Persei just to the right of the nebula. A regular target for astrophotographers, the California Nebula can be spotted with a wide-field telescope under a dark sky toward the constellation of Perseus, not far from the Pleiades. The electtro dynamic dipole moment to shield the Higgs field is anomolous due to its value being variably over 2 (2.00016537 .oooo1)
As simple as a magnet, the Higgs shield flows from south pole to north allowing mass to travel at the speed of light. Our current attempts only work on mass ass big as several million atoms at a time but still visible to the human eye a couple microns accross. To scale up as large as a space craft a launch from empty space or a moon without an atmosphere would be necesssary.
However what makes it anomolous is that over a 8 light year trip to a nearby star we could navigationally be off by almost a month.
Two pesky gluons are gumming up the scle up process but its good to se what Prof. Higgs was up to from the start. https://nationalpost.com/news/higgs-boson-find-could-make-light-speed-travel-possible-scientists-hope

Don't meddle with old unloaded firearms. They are the most deadly and unerring things that have ever been created by man. You don't have to take any pains at all with them; you don't have to have a rest, you don't have to have any sights on the gun, you don't have to take aim, even. No, you just pick out a relative and bang away, and you are sure to get him. A youth who can't hit a cathedral at thirty yards with a Gatling gun in three-quarters of an hour, can take up an old empty musket and bag his mother every time at a hundred. Think what Waterloo would have been if one of the armies had been boys armed with old rusty muskets supposed not to be loaded, and the other army had been composed of their female relations. The very thought of it makes me shudder.

- Sam Clemens, "Advice to Youth speech," 4/15/1882

I think the overlords have grown stupid. Stupidity leads to villany.

Ever since I was struck by a lightening field (not grounded) its been getting harder to turn down the volume.

Known Knowns &
Unknown unknowns:

A painting of a man in a suit upon a mountain has more sky than there is horizon or rivers below.
I am the man in a suit and begin to walk down the apex where there was infinite perspective.
As I move down away from this apex, the degree of perspective rapidly drops away.
As I half stumble and climb down the mountainside I end up in an ever-deepening valley.
The walls on each side rise up higher and higher, cutting off other routes.
At the top I could see in all directions and horizons went hundreds of miles or more.
At the bottom, I had no more freedom, I was irrevocably tied to my my feet on a path.

Underground in my minds eye a tunnel of infinite length and full of capillary caves
Every split is infinite, and there are infinite numbers of them yet I see only 1 at a time.
To gaze at one is to be trapped by it, to explore one crack or branch is ignoring others
This reality is as an endless array of possible views none of which are essentially the whole.

and each excludes
awareness of others.

The only essential truth is the truth of the tunnel, which contains all the side tracks,
If I could see all the separate caves, then I could see if some of them make a fractal
From mountain top to underground I see that with my human eyes most information is lost.
I need new eyes beyond the sky and space and time to see the overwhelming truth.
I think I may be envious of the eyes of God as my human eyes begin to fail and go blind.

Entropy, therefore, is FORGETTINH , it is loss of consciousness: it is when we forget who we are and wrongly identify ourselves with a false (or game-playing) self.BBB       Being one of the boys replaces our innate uniquness. The reverse of entropy is consciousness, or ‘self-remembering’ – which is when we see through the game and remember what we forgot. Esoteric psychology has long acknowledged this principle of Self-forgetting, which lies behind so much of what we do. When we do not acknowledge this principle, then everything we do tends to become part of the on-going endeavour to avoid the truth, and even love itself ends up as a means of forgetting. Love ought to wake us up, but it slides over imperceptibly into sentimentality, attachment and pain.

I am using novelty in a way that is not entertainmnt. We can entertain ourselves to death but novelty is a much bigger paradigm shaking event and thinking process. I have seen glimpses of novelty in MOAB over the years while it is mostly absent in the rest of threads.

Yet, this pre-occupation with ‘game’ rules (for this is what evolutionary psychology comes down to) is manifestation of a curious and unacknowledged one-sidedness. Physics, as we all know, is a search for fundamental laws, laws that apply across the board, laws that are intrinsic to the nature of the universe itself. Why do we assume that there are no such equivalent laws to be found in psychology? As we have just said, contemporary psychology thinks only in terms of extrinsic laws, i.e. rules that are arbitrarily imposed. One reason that immediately comes to mind is that we do not see mind / consciousness as being fundamental in the same way that we see matter as being. We are, as professor of physics Amit Goswami (1993) says, confirmed material realists – we believe that only matter is real. BULLSHIT without the Higgs there is no matter/masss. This, of course, is a pretty big assumption on our part, although the fact of the matter is that we are now so caught up in this assumption that we don’t actually see it as such; the truth of the matter (pun intended) is that we have chosen to go down this road a long time ago, and we certainly aren’t showing any signs of wanting to question that choice now. Our predisposition to see the universe we live in this way leads to some rather peculiar, if not down-right contradictory conclusions, however. The inevitable conclusion of material realism is that the only meaning to be found in life is that meaning which is conditioned by natural selection, i.e. we only find stuff meaningful because it suits the game of ‘survival of the fittest’ that we do. Philosophically, this is the same as saying that, in the final analysis, everything is meaningless, which is in keeping with the important Western tradition of philosophical pessimism. The problem with this conclusion has been pointed out quite often, however: if everything is meaningless, then so too is our assertion that ‘everything is meaningless’ meaningless; it is a null-statement. We think that when we make this statement we are saying something meaningful, but if that meaningfulness is ‘meaningful’ only because of the way in which the arbitrary rules of natural selection have caused our brains to be designed, then it is not meaningful at all, in any real sense of the word. If such is the case, then it is inescapable that anything we say must be tautological, i.e. incapable of referring to anything outside itself. This notion of ‘tautological meaning’ is, as we shall shortly see, central to our understanding of psychological entropy.

Extremofiles to humans beings are not extrmeophiles to Nature. Even the Overlords of antiquity are extremophiles compared to us. The thing is that the O's are now dumbed down and are suffring from a condition I call PSYCHOLOGICAL ENTROPY.

Jung, writing in the first half of the twentieth century, had no recourse to non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and had to apply classical thermodynamic theory to the dynamic, self-organizing system of the psyche, which it is not able to model. He did the best he could, Capra argues, with the limited understanding that was available.
We have seen how science shapes socicietal in good nd bad ways. In the 20th century 'survival of the fittest' caused much fascist harm. Now the Higgs can do some unifying good in society.
We should move beyong Jung since science has moved beyond where we were.
Abraham Maslow’s assertion that neurosis is, at root, the rejection of novelty, i.e. the unknown. This would mean that ‘laziness’ (in Scott Peck’s particular usage of the word) corresponds to neurosis, or ‘sticking to the known,’ which is an idea that we will discuss in more detail as we go along. Within the mainstream of contemporary psychological thinking, however, there is no place for concepts such as mental entropy (it is quite out of fashion) and as a result we are in the curious position of trying to describe mental functioning without admitting the existence of any law of energetics. Rather than looking into the possibility that the psychic domain may be subject to universal laws in the same way that the physical domain is subject to, say, the law of gravitation, it seems that we want to see everything that goes on in the mind as being due to conditioned laws only. Conditioned laws are rules that are arbitrarily set up, much like the law that prohibits driving a car when under the influence of alcohol; they include behavioural drives on the one hand, such as hunger, sex and aggression, and the adaptive pressure to problem-solve on the other hand, which is to say, the pressure to learn efficient ways of interacting with our environment so that we can survive and reproduce as successfully as possible within it. Both biological drives and ‘environmental selection on the basis of reproductive performance’ come down to evolution in the end of course, and it is evolutionary psychology that makes the major claim on our attention at the present moment. That this is generally considered to be ‘the way to go’ is clearly demonstrated by our interest in such endeavours as the Human Genome Project, and the popularity of academics such as Daniel Dennett and Steven Pinker, who have (separately) articulated the principles of evolutionary psychology in a number of high profile books.
The lpss of novelty in humans is an entropy that has serious aspects of pschological Entropy as it is for overlords.

Nature has an imagination greater than its secondary life forms. To Nature life is but a thin film that requires special circumstances in certain regions. We share special inadequacies with the galactic overlords which merely have an extra billion years in their evolutionary bag of tricks that originated in a more temperate Red Star system than ours. The inadequacies the overlords are now experiencing is a bit like what we see in a polarized America. Overlord Rogues who couldn't care less about the prime directive and who have lost the techniques of planetary engineering are now in charge. A life spreading ideology is being replaced by an unsympathetic ambivilance and a future without empathy. Most say it a cost thing but the rot goes deeper. This solar system had the hand of the overlords involved in seeding life on Mars, Earth and Venus. As you know life gardening needs a stabilizing moon that only suceeded once on Earth but destroyed Mars and Venus as prospects for bio engineering. The failures arose by causing a collision with the planets with misguided moons. The moons are needed because the planets would tumble and have no reliable seasons with everchanging polar regions without a moon.. Admitedly guiding huge astroids into stable orbits are tricky things to do but now the overlords don't even try. These kids of the original overlords have had it tough and have gone through a period of cruelty much the same as a trump adminisration on Earth.

I just thought I'd warn a priviledged few to not expect any extraordinary help from the overlords anymore. Only Nature has an imagination vast enough over unimaginable time to save, not mankind, but life itself.

"... My parents approached Mrs. Nelson [to baby-sit me],
Our dear old next-door neighbour,
Who'd never [baby-]sat, but longed to have a try;

I tossed her umb-erella like a caber!
Mrs. Nelson can't go sitting with one eye ... "

For the first time ever KIA has made a SUV model. In fact the roll over by Tiger Woods was in a 2020 KIA suv.
