Is anyone aware of any surviving film footage of The Young Tradition singing together?

My inept YouTube explorations haven't turned anything up, but this feels like the place to ask.

I would love to see anything that does remain - it would be great to glimpse the dynamic that they shared.

Not quite the original ask, but I've found some tantalising-if-fuzzy VHS footage of Peter Bellamy singing:

They did stop performing in 1969 - way before the use of Cell Phone videos or most personal video cameras....

The other parts of that VHS recording were also posted to YouTube by sabrina eden (Sean Breadin) aka various Mudcat handles (Suibhne O'Piobaireachd, Suibhne Astray etc).

Peter Bellamy VHS - Part One : The Interview

Peter Bellamy VHS Part Two : Two Songs

Interesting interview, quote.. the singer and the song are most important, not the arrangement.
true up to a point, however a good arrangement or accompaniment can enhance a song, but should always be secondary to vocal interpretation of lyrics.

I think the quality of his singing is much better on black acorns clip, his diction is clearer than on the song, bill brown.
Peter was a singer who had good stage presence-in my opinion.
thankyou for the clips it was a pleasure to hear him again

Doc Rowe has a (16mm?) film of a Peter Bellamy concert, possibly made at Cecil Sharp House.
He played it one year at Whitby Folk Week, ten or more years ago. It was as memorable as any of the live concerts that year!

Heather Wood is still active. 3rd Annual Port Jefferson Sea Shanty & Maritime Music Festival – August 19 2023
Heather Wood is a veteran singer from the English revival for some 50+ years, dating from her days with The Young Tradition. She has a great repertoire of ballads, historical songs, love, maritime, and agricultural songs, and a lot from the humorous side. In addition to the old songs, she has written some dynamite new ones. Over the years, Heather has also acted as agent for other artists, run folk clubs, organized weekends and other events, and written about folk music for an assortment of publications. She is a member of The New York Packet and treasurer and program chair of The Folk Music Society of New York, co-sponsors of this festival.

I don't know of any. The one TV program we did for the BBC was probably wiped to re-use the tape. It was expensive back then.

Many thanks all for further comments, especially you Heather - an honour to have your reply!

Also, if I may be so bold - I've been thinking of writing a piece on The Holly Bears the Crown - if that idea advances, please might it be OK to get in touch? If I did so, would the best route be via the FMSNY?

Many further thanks, all
