have been unable to connect via google to my g mail account, obviously no problem with internet if i can post here, any ideas?

Well, as you say, you're on the Internet to talk to us. First I'd try turning off the computer and turning it back on again.

Are any of your browsers logged on via a gmail account (my Chrome is affiliated with one of my accounts) so try that browser and see how it is behaving.

Turning it off then on again is the universal panacea for ANY problem with tech these days!


(Alternatively, get any six-year-old to fix it for you...)

back in the late 90s when the Govt agency I worked for started giving info to Public Libraries I'd tell worried callers that the librarians won't want their machines broken so they will load the CD, & advise you how to use it, & if you need further info, just ask the nearest 12 year old & they would usually laugh.

now it's 6 year olds helping us non-techy folks ...
