This actress packed a lot of living into her ninety-four years.

She made a spectacle of herself on
"Dancing with the Stars." I still remember that one judge,
Bruno somebody, exclaiming: "I don't know what to say,"
and he always had a LOT to say.

She stole the scene from Mary Tyler Moore AND Betty White
on that television show, which is no mean accomplishment.

She was a fellow classmate of Paul Lynde, of happy memory,
She worked with everybody from Mel Brooks to Peter Bogdanovich.

And her real-life husband was stolen from her by Joan Collins.
She may have not been Elizabeth Taylor or Debbie Reynolds,
but like Taylor, she could have had the epitaph
"She lived."

She was beautiful. She was a Miss America and did many movies in her youth. Boy could she sell a performance. She even did Malcome in the middle TV.
Debbie Reynolds? We sure have different perceptions.

Just a comparison of marriage breakups, Donuel:

Debbie Reynolds lost Eddie Fisher to Elizabeth Taylor;

Cloris Leachman's husband ran off with Joan Collins,
that's all.

I believe the correct spelling is Cloris and I beg that a mod fix this.

I remember her from her appearance on Gunsmoke. But she showed up almost everywhere and in many many movies.

Fixed! That spelling was rather jarring! ---mudelf

Leachman had an incredible range in her acting, she had a good singing voice, and she seems to have been a very nice person. I looked her up on IMDb to be sure I remembered correctly - in a day when such a thing was possible but complicated, she was able to have a long durable career and still raise five children.

She was one of those actors with incredible range without whom the rich variation of many American themed shows would look much more same because the themes would repeat AND the people would also repeat. She was a character actor par excellence.
