Here is a link to such work https://ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/19800010907/downloads/19800010907.pdf eccerpt The potential existence of the space-time harmonics mean that if a craft at a specified space-time point could artificially generate a configuration of electro-/ hydromagnetic fields which has a resonance with a distant space-time point, a basic imbalance would be created. This imbalance would be out of harmony with the "projection laws" which create the space-time properties from higher dimensional properties. Forces would be set in motion to re-establish a balance which in this case require that the craft and its fields to be located at the space-time point where such field configurations are a natural harmonic of that space-time metric. The best analogy in every day life is that of tuning a radio. The tuning knob in this case is the spacecraft's mechanism for changing the configuration of the magnetic wave form. The radio stations are the various space-time points. For a radio, the signal (which is always there), is manifested through the speakers associated with the radio, for the field resonance system the speakers exist only at the radio station. Once the spacecraft's magnetic wave form is tuned into a distant space-time point, that wave form is forced to manifest only at that spacetime point according to the "projection laws". A means of generating the electro-/hydromagnetic configurations which would be required remained a problem until the study of magnetic field line merging and hydromagnetic wave effects was undertaken. With the completion of recent thesis research, a possible means for generating the magnetic wave form was determined (Holt, 1979). This research along with the results of fusion research resulted in the proposed implementation of a spacecraft which generates megagauss magnetic fields which are oppositely directed (See Figure 3). These oppositely directed field lines will merge and re-connect expelling magnetic fields and plasma out to the sides. In this initial concept, expelled field lines again meet oppositely directed field lines.and merge again, possibly forcing large amounts of electromagnetic and hydromagnetic radiation outside the craft. This concept is currently undergoing revision. FIELD RESONANCE CONCEPT • . . In the proposed implementation (See Figure 3). high powered lasers are used to generate the megagauss fields by the effects of non-colinear temperature and density gradients (Kruer and Estabrook, 19.77; Max et alt , 1978; Nishihara and Ohsawa, 1976). By alternately pulsing adjacent laser sets, the location of the merging processes can be made to oscillate back and forth at a desired rate. The amount of laser energy can be varied to alter the strength of the magnetic fields. Thus by changing the laser's power and/or wavelength and the pulse frequency, the resultant magnetic wave form can be changed or tuned to the desired harmonic of a distant spacetime point. If flight to a nearby location is desired, the magnetic wave form can be continuously re-tuned allowing very quick and short space-time transformations. For an observer it would appear to be a smooth flight in much the same way that we do not see the individual frames of a film. For large jumps or travel to very distant space-time points, some means of preventing the tuning to intermediate space-time points is required. |

He’s home from the Referral practice at Wetherby with a huge wound from his chest to his scrotum, many stitches (haven’t counted them), and a feeding-tube in his neck that we have to put liquid food into five times a day. His dressing came off today, and he already seems quite a bit more comfortable. And he ate his first solid food this afternoon. Now the nervous wait for the biopsy results. |

Last year at this time my Blue Heeler was getting her stitches out following a pre-xmas surgery that tracked from her abdomen up above the second row of teats. She wore a cone for a couple of weeks and also a t-shirt to help keep her from scratching at itchy stitches (she would stand and lift her back leg to attack the stitches, the cone only kept her face away from them). The vet was delayed returning from an out-of-town trip and we had to accommodate for a second week by keeping her on antibiotics until the stitches were out. I finally said yes to sending in a biopsy sample and it turned out mastitis. Whew. Not cancer. I hope for a similar outcome for your guy. |

He’s being a good boy so far as his stitches go, he hasn’t made any attempt to get at them, and we haven’t needed to resort to the cone the vet gave us, nor to the recovery suit (like a doggie-leotard) that the Mrs bought for him. Our main problem is that he’s very reluctant to eat - he has to have five small, low-fat, 76-calorie ‘meals’ per day in order to prevent pancreatitis, and we’re finding it difficult to get him to eat anything like the required amount, which means we have to ‘top him up’ with liquid food through the tube in his neck. Hopefully we’ll get there soon, but it seems a long haul. Other things, such as carrying him up and down stairs (our house has three storeys, and our living room and kitchen/diner are on the middle floor) to prevent his internal stitches being pulled out, we are coping with pretty easily, but the feeding issue is a worry. And, of course, there will be the biopsy results… I’m very aware that certain people don’t understand the bond between humans and their dogs, but my wife and I have been unable to have children of our own, and he is our joint-‘significant other’! Thanks again for your kind words, they are very much appreciated. |

The biggest and probably the best news will be the discovery of life beyond Earth. We probably are all a bit hopeful that there is otherwise the universe would be a sort of lonely place for us. Today science has a more agnostic approach to the subject of extraterrestrial life. We accidentally conflate the two separate issues of UFOs and distant life. Now that we are a bit beyond the giggle factor its time we had better data. It was back in the 1950's that some of the best propositions were made regarding the Fermi paradox and the famous Drake equation that used seven different parameters that could be studied together or independantly. Even the space-time propulsion theory of the seventies has changed little but has identified the trouble spots we can't yet solve. An alien's best friend could be a dog that resembled goo like its master but totally unlike the internal skeletal structure of somewhat similar animals on Earth, you know, like an octopus but much stranger. If there ever is a first contact we would most likely be grossed out. I believe challenging theories or even laws to their breaking point does advance the known and unknown even if it seems whacky to do so. |

I remember breaking with the pattern of condolences on her Facebook page and suggesting that there was another cat at the shelter that needed rescuing now, otherwise it might be the needle. She took the bait and has adopted another young cat who has filled the gap that losing the last one created. They love the new one while remembering the past one. The village where I live limits properties to three pets total, and I have consistently had three for the last 20 years. I am hoping that your fella makes a complete recovery, but if you end up with a vacancy in the house, don't put off rescue of another animal. And even with the current dog's recovery, he might like a friend. Every little bit helps when it comes to retrieving animals from the pandemonium of the shelter. My pooch Pepper (the Blue Heeler) was at the city shelter for three months. When I took her for a one-on-one walk in an enclosure where you can interact with animals I sat on the short wall at the side and she didn't run around, she stayed there and climbed up to sniff my face, get in my lap, and get to know me. She was making the case for a bond, and when I brought her home she settled in so fast and so happily it was remarkable. When you bring a shelter dog home and give them a soft bed in a quiet house they sleep soundly for the first time in months and it is wonderful to see. The next day I was in the yard with her and the other two and threw a bumper for the chocolate lab to fetch; he headed out for it and then there was a flash of black and white as she darted down the yard, grabbed the bumper and happily returned it to me. "You know this game!" I got another bumper so she and the lab could take turns fetching, and that was that. There was an occasion when I took her to a vet clinic to have her nails trimmed and was taking the three dogs in one at a time. When I walked away from her at the clinic to take the Lab back to the car apparently she went nuts, pulling out of the muzzle and struggling to get up. As I headed into the store with the third dog the vet tech met me at the door with her, telling me what happened. I realized that this dog, who was about three years old when I adopted her, remembered being left behind before, and was having none of it. I always keep that in mind when she needs any kind of vet care, so she knows I'm nearby. Her heart has been fully given to me and I need to have a care for it. That connection can happen very quickly. |

We’re obviously hoping that everything will turn out well for our BT (and us too!) but, should it come to the worst, our plan is to adopt a rescue. There are a couple of good rescue centres in our area, and I’m sure we could find a dog that needs a good, loving home and that we could find that special bond with. But for now the fight goes on for our boy - he’s beginning to eat, so the need to shoot liquid food in through his O-tube is becoming less and less, his dressing is off and he’s leaving his many stitches alone, and yesterday he actually wanted to play a little, albeit only gently! Our hearts are lifted and we’re encouraged by his progress. Things seem to be on the up and up. Just those damned biopsy results to face in a week or so’s time… |

If the biopsy shows cancer there is palliative care using steroids and pain pills or curative radiation and drugs similar to human treatments. On the other hand, everything will be fine without cancer concerns, putting an end to worrisome negative thoughts also known as GOOD news. I used to do a lot of radio. The most call-in participation came from a show where people missed or grieved for their pet. Unqualified love is powerful. |

Subject: RE: BS: GOOD news From: Backwoodsman Date: 15 Jan 24 - 03:19 AM Delighted to report more GOOD news from The Lincolnshire Backwoods - over the weekend, Baxter the BT has been taking his ‘normal’ food (but a low-fat version) very happily, and we have been able to discontinue the feeding of liquid food through the tube in his neck. Still on five feeds per day, but life is much simpler now he’s eating his regular grub. He’s begun to want to play, although it has to be kept at a fairly ‘quiet’ level - no running, jumping, tugging, etc. so that the risk to his internal stitches is kept to a minimum. We have an appointment with his local Vet this afternoon, and a call with the surgeon who carried out his surgery this morning, hopefully to discuss the removal of the neck-tube and his external stitches. Feeling very relieved and much happier than we were at this time last week. Although there’s still the spectre of those biopsy results hanging over us, we’re staying positive and looking forward with optimism. |

I wish we’d known this a fortnight ago, we wouldn’t have put him through the surgery and its aftermath, but it was discovered during the surgery, so… He’s a good boy, and they say we have three to six more months with him. Heartbroken as we are, he will be loved and cared for until the end. |

I didn't pick up on his age but I can share that some friends of mine shared the life of their 13 year old black labrador who was a very sagacious and refined animal. I have always liked animals but I was not a 'dog' person until I met Raven. She was walked every day but we didn't notice that she lost all feeling and capability in her tail and we realized we were lucky she could still walk at all. She had no feeling in her after-end and her owner would clean up after her because she was not aware of anything coming out of her rear for her last year. Since we have substantial winters here we would make a judgement call on rounding out the year with her, but she was a loyal family member who kept up her abilities to eat, walk, and interact until one day she woke up and just sat on the coouch and stared blankly. The owners shared her last moments with me and gave away her toys and the ramp that allowed her to get into the car. BUT. Within a month they asked me to drive them out of town where they bought a labradoodle pup. So now I'm a dogfather. The youthful beast is a daily reminder of the energy inherent in the newly created and the innocent nature of animals who draw compassion from those of us who love nature's babies. In this stage of her life she can't tell the difference between uphill and down, and balls that don't belong to her. I hope you have positive times with your canine and you can all appreciate what we can of life. |

It started overcast and rainy but shortly transitioned to blue skies and sunshine and the first 70 degree day of the year. A 70 degree day in April is nicest possible day: warm but low in humidity and the insects haven't appeared yet. This all made it perfect for sitting outside and watching one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed, a total eclipse of the sun. I've seen eclipses before but this time I was located squarely in the center of the somewhat narrow zone of totality . This was the first time I've looked into that glorious ring of fire during the peak of the event. The temperature dropped 10 to 20 degrees and the birds went silent, probably freaked out by the unexpected darkness. My son and daughter-in-law both said they were made nauseous by the eerie faux twilight that you only see during an eclipse. Has anyone heard of this phenomena? Nevertheless it was quite awesome, glorious really Afterwards I came inside and watched the Guardians defeat the White Sox. The announcers showed video taped a couple hours earlier when the team had opened the stadium early so fans could come in and watch the eclipse while they played the "Dark Side of the Moon" album over the PA system throughout, proving again that Cleveland is a Rock and Roll town of high degree. It was probably a unifying experience but I much preferred seeing it out in the country with my wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. After that I sat on my rocking chair on our west-facing front porch and watched the most amazing, beautiful sunset. All pink and blue pastels, what I call a candy floss sky, reddening deeper toward the end. The sunset experience was greatly enhanced by the serenade of the songs of a muriad variety of birds that visit our feeders. We live in a 108 years old farmhouse surrounded by a huge field. Last year it was a soy bean field and the year before corn. I hope they plant corn this year because when it gets tall we feel comletely secluded. You can no longer see the road at the end of our 400 foot long drive but you can hear the distant sound of cars driving by. I tell my grandson they are ghost cars. Today it.s covered in a type of purple clover that grows on these fields in early spring in the period after the thaw but before the soil is turned over by a steel plow and disced in preparation for planting. There is much to recommend about country living. |

Adam Farquharson spotted an opportunity for hijinks after his friend Mark Peacock grew a Royal Easter Show blue ribbon-awarded monster pumpkin. The 407-kilogram gourd named Tormund, after Game of Thrones character Tormund Giantsbane, was the biggest pumpkin awarded in any show across the nation in 2024, according to Mr Peacock. A former commodore of the Tumut Canoe Club, Mr Farquharson said he had attempted to grow giant pumpkins big enough to paddle in previous years but that turned out to be an "abject and hilarious failure". "It grew to about the size of a softball, rotted off and died," he said. Boss drover Bruce Tye was impressed that the children were "surprisingly good" at keeping up with experienced drovers more than four times their age. Averaging 10 to 15 kilometres a day, the journey is a "bucket list" trip for the motley crew. "We have endurance riders, trail riders, pony clubbers, and people that just want to have a look at the country and get away from the traffic and madness of town," Mr Tye said. If he's on his meds will you be able to see him? DtG, is your community running fibre optic cable or is this something you simply did on your own in your home, tapping into whatever the Internet provider is at the edge of the property? We have access to fibre optic here, but the provider is AT&T and their customer service and operations are so horrible I haven't made the switch. I've stayed with another sucky company that isn't quite as bad and get high-speed Internet over cable. This one costs more, that's how much I dislike AT&T. My good news is that I paid off the SUV earlier this month. I would like at some point to trade in for a hybrid vehicle, but I'll wait a while and enjoy this time with one less monthly payment. |

Vodafone provided the router and run my service. It is the government's aim to remove all analogue services by next year so we took advantage of a good introductory deal. |
