I seem to recall a parody based on Barry Sandler's Freen Berets song. It dealt with "fighting hamsters from the sky" or the like. Anyone remember it and/or the lyrics?

Bo, how does "Fighting Hamsters of Colontir" go? Oh, and do you know a song that I believe is SCA in origin, called "Purity, Virtue, and Chastity"? It's about a miller with three daughters bearing those names, but who are anything but pure, virtuous, and chaste..

Calontir is a 'Kingdom' inside the Society For Creative Anachronism

It is comprised of lands hithertofor known as Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Northern Arkansas. The S.C.A.has carved up the world into smaller Cantons, Baronies, and Kingdoms as an organizational necessity and to give ourselves someone to go to war with. War in the society is an enjoyable affair with rattan swords, full armor, heraldry and everyone getting up from the field at the end of the day for an evening of campfires, drinking, dancing and singing.

The Fighting Hamster song came about after the Pensic (sp) Wars when one of our knights taped a squeaky toy hamster to his helmet...every time he got whacked on the head we heard the thing squeak. It was the same year we had pizza delivered to the battlefield...late 80's. I wish I could remember all the words...I mostly remember when it was rolled out one night around the campfire.
