ROUTE 66 (Get your kicks ...) Not exactly folk, but a standard nonetheless. Appreciate your help!

Turn left at the cornfield where old man Johnson's barn used to be and keep headin' thataway until you get to the barkin' dog. Nat Cole is standin' by the dog. Pick him up and he'll direct you from there.

The dog or Nat?

Or both?

Nat's version is great (what a great singer he was), but I got my version from the Stones' "England's Newest Hit Makers."

I'm looking for the lyrics for Route 66. It's Pete Stanley's 66th birthday soon and following the mighty success of his "Bus Pass" party last year he's planning another this year.

I want to surprise him with a mass rendition of Route 66. Can anyone help?

I'll post details of the party when Pete gets back from Stateside mid-March - war permitting!

Cheers
