Apologies if you all know about this already, but I'd never come across it before:

www.musicrobot.com lets you search specifically for Midi files, Lyrics, Guitar Tabs etc.

I've not had time to investigate it much yet, and inevitably it's mostly rock / pop. The midi search does however bring up all of the mudcat midis so it can't be too bad...

I got the link from an interview in today's paper with Steve Knightly (of Show of Hands) - Click Here. The article is an interesting read for his views on folk music and technology, and his thoughts on Napster etc.

Ed, I've used this one for several years to search for midi files. I love it.

One trick I like to use is to search for a particular song I like, say for instance The Maple Leaf Rag, then check out all the other songs on the page I find that one.
