Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Midchuck Date: 18 Jan 01 - 09:03 AM Heck, we're up to our asses in CDs and cassettes - 'tho we did just hit break-even on the first recording, which I guess doesn't often happen on a first, privately-produced, recording. Buy Kendall's record. It's worth it for "Mrs. Ravoon" alone. Then go out and make more money so you can buy ours. Peter. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 18 Jan 01 - 08:04 AM I'm not in Florida. No, I havn't heard from Steve. I only had a few cd's made, mostly at the request of about a dozen mudcatters. I still have some, but, not enough to put into a store. On the other hand, I'm up to my ass in cassettes! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Uncle Jaque Date: 18 Jan 01 - 06:25 AM Kendall; Did u ever hear back from Cpt. Steve? I bet he might move a passel of your CDs, especially when the Summer Complaints get moseyin' around the Ol' Port! A co worker brought in some stories / jokes etc. from her late Grandmother's archives - she lived in Weld ME and was a real piece of work. Looks like some good ol Down East material you could use - I read a couple of em at the old folks home where Mom resides, and they liked em - would love to hear your rendition. We do enjoy "Luck" as did a couple of colleagues, one of whom wants one for her Dad who still resides in Weld. I'm bringing your addr. in today. Still in Fla? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 17 Jan 01 - 08:59 AM At meal time, my mother used to say "Come and get it..first come, first served and the devil take the hindmost" |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: SINSULL Date: 16 Jan 01 - 01:07 PM The Captain has received a request for a bulk order of these CDs. If you want one, order now. Let's see, at 99 cents per plug, Kendall owes me...No honest, he did and they are going out the door fast. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 16 Jan 01 - 12:59 PM All you folks who are ordering my cd, if you would give me your mudcat name, I'd appreciate it. Naturally, I dont recognize your real names.(except Doug) |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 09 Jan 01 - 06:34 PM If you know someone who will shovel snow all winter for $12.00, send him over here! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Billy in Buffalo Date: 09 Jan 01 - 02:33 PM I said that if I don't have to pay the kid next door to shovel snow for the rest of the winter, I'll order one for me and one for MMario. I'm sorry, but it's snowed everyday since then in Buffalo. Billy In Buffalo |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 09 Jan 01 - 02:25 PM Leo, your cd is in the mail (No kidding, and thanks for the extra postage!) Now, if I could just get the rest of you moving! :-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: MMario Date: 05 Jan 01 - 01:26 PM duh! Thanks Kendall - I never thought about the resource page... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 05 Jan 01 - 01:05 PM My address is in the resources, but, for non members..it is : PObox 313 Scarboro Maine 04070-0313. They cost me $9.40 for this first batch because of the studio time and all. I have to get $12.00 for them, and that INCLUDES postage and package. I ernestly hope that none of you is $12.00 from being broke! |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Elvis Presley Date: 05 Jan 01 - 12:48 PM I sell more CDs every hour than Phil Ochs does in a month. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Rick Fielding Date: 05 Jan 01 - 12:39 PM Well remember Kendall "If you build it, they will come". Just got my radio copy, and it sounds great. I'll start spinnin' it this week. Have patience. Sandy, and Art (and quite a few more of us here) will have to live 12 lifetimes to sell as much as Phil Ochs does in a month (and he's dead!) Now Gordon Bok's another story! Rick |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Billy In Buffalo Date: 05 Jan 01 - 09:40 AM There you go Kendall. MMario will order one IF bla bla bla BEFORE bla bla bla. A Mudcat promise if I ever heard one. Here's my Mudcat promise. IF I don't have to pay the kid next door to shovel snow for the rest of the winter, I'll order one for me and one for MMario. Billy In Buffalo |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: MMario Date: 05 Jan 01 - 09:29 AM kendall - I may have missed it, but I haven't seen an address or anything where we CAN order your CD. I don't think I'm on your list, but it's on my "wish list" and if the back pay we've been promised at work comes through before my car breaks down again, I would like to order.
|
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST Date: 05 Jan 01 - 09:05 AM How about if we all send two bits to Matt_R so he can buy Kendall's CD and upload it to Napster for the rest of us to grab for free. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST Date: 04 Jan 01 - 09:51 PM Well Kendall, these Mudcat people are think that you're their friend and that you're going to give it to them as a gift. "Oh Kendall, you mean we have to pay for it? Well maybe next month then." Dick, I get much better deals and much better service from CDnow. Maybe frustrating for you, but not for me. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: dick greenhaus Date: 04 Jan 01 - 09:33 PM Ken- You're experiencing the frustration of trying to sell to Mudcatters. Ask Sandy about it. Or ask me. (sigh) |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Rick Fielding Date: 22 Dec 00 - 12:20 AM Bravo Kendall. Being a folkie with CDs is like having a license to print money! Actually, I'd rather have the license. Merry Christmas guy. Rick and heather |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: SINSULL Date: 21 Dec 00 - 07:55 PM Trust me: "Phoebe Snow" alone is worth purchasing the tape. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 21 Dec 00 - 06:34 PM It was professionally done by a studio from the original dat. The only thing missing is the fancy graphics. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Noah Count Date: 21 Dec 00 - 05:25 PM Kendalls, Is this CD just your tape burned onto CD-R or has it been properly remastered for digital playback? Noah

Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 21 Dec 00 - 03:44 PM Now that I have gone modern, I have a box of cassettes which I can move for $8.00 including postage and package. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 21 Dec 00 - 03:39 PM In the last days, all things will be known..oops..left over thought.. I. Kendall Morse, po 313 Scarboro Maine 04070-0313. 2. I will have some at the shanty sing 3.At this time, I dont expect to have them in stores, because, I'm not making enough of them to make it worth the effort.Another reason, these are tailor made, limited edition, and, too expensive to leave any room for a store to make anything.
Play list: Then, a collection of traditional Maine humor, mixed with my own observations. (Yes, the accent is quite real) |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: JedMarum Date: 21 Dec 00 - 08:23 AM Put me on the list, Kendall, I want one too! Have you decided if/where/how to sell 'em on-line? amazon.com, cdbaby.com and cdnow all have programs for selling independents. They ain't cheap, but they do all the work - so it may be worth considering. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Wolfgang Date: 21 Dec 00 - 07:23 AM I've never been disappointed yet when I bought a CD from a Mudcatter (Liam's brother, Martin Ryan, Art Thieme and Rick Fielding so far), so I think I'll jump this time too. However, a tracklist could help me deciding for a yes. Wolfgang |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Liam's Brother Date: 20 Dec 00 - 11:39 PM It'll be Christmas... er... I mean HOLIDAY soon and, just for insurance in case no one buys me a Holiday present, I'd like to get one of your CDs, Kendall. Just tell me how. All the best, Dan |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Uncle Jaque Date: 20 Dec 00 - 11:26 PM Kendall: I'm just full of questions tonight; Is there anyplace in the local (Freeport/Yarmouth) area to obtain your CD? For mail order - where do we send the check? Could you post a list of songs on the CD here? Are you going to be around for the "Chantey Swap" on the 27th? I'll bet if you had a stack of 'em there you might move a few. I also wouldn't be surprised if Cpt. Steve took a few to carry at China Seas - and I bet he'd move 'em for you, too! Re. the cassettes: I'm always open to really good deals on cassettes; my '91 Voyager is equipped with a cassette player and I do love to crank up those tunes, don't ye know! Also, most of my sound equipment tends to be of rather primitive technology, coming from the Yarmouth Dump or yard sales like it does, and we only own one CD player - a portable at that.. I frequently "back up" favorite CDs onto tape (editing out the obligatory clunker tracks) so I can listen to them in the van. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 20 Dec 00 - 06:07 PM OK folks..the new CD is available. If you can free up $12.00 I'll send you one. Price includes postage and package. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 02 Dec 00 - 08:45 PM Give them to libraries or as stocking stuffers for relatives that you dont really like much |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Art Thieme Date: 02 Dec 00 - 08:09 PM And I never should've made any cassettes of my CD. I'm still trying to figure out ways to turn them into furniture for the house. Art |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 02 Dec 00 - 04:26 PM Yes Art..I should have gone the CD route in the first place. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: GUEST,Art Thieme Date: 02 Dec 00 - 11:51 AM Kendall, Is this the same as the cassette I have? Art |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 02 Dec 00 - 09:01 AM When these are delivered, should I post it here, or notify each one of you who asked for one? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: kendall Date: 01 Dec 00 - 10:52 PM Damn those commas |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendalls CD From: Little Neophyte Date: 01 Dec 00 - 10:10 PM Mazel Tov Kendall, this is good news. You should call yourself Sir Kendallot so you don't get mixed up with the Kendals. If you create a band you could call yourselves Sir Kendallot & The Brave Knights. Little Neo |
